Hello to everyone, I bought a Trike for my wife a week ago after hearing she wanted a trike for 8 plus years. She does not drive so she calls me her driver. 2012 model with 5000 miles on it. Its has been in storage for a long time. We are from New Orleans and have moved to Tylertown Mississippi to our camp. We call it home now and have lived her for 7 plus years.

The bike had its original tires on it so I started there. New tires front and back and also installed lift kit on the back because it came with the bike in the cargo box.

Yesterday we were riding and noticed a drip from the gas line right under the tank. Researching now to figure out the issue and repairs to make.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Karl, :welcome: to Trike Talk

It sounds like the quick connect @ the gas tank is leaking

Can you post a picture?

There are o rings available if that is the problem. You need to start spraying some penetrating oil on the metat part of the connector now

From sitting for a long time the line may have become brittle, proceede with caution, the lines do break

Here is a link to an o ring for the connector, you may also want to post a thread in the Harley Trike forum for more responses

Welcome to the forum, the o rings probably dry rotted a bit. Search the web for the proper vyton o ring to put in the quick disconnect. Find a good local independent shop that works on Harleys. Also buy a service manual with a trike supplement. Should be able to find Ito Ebay.

Thanks Jack, I ordered a quick fuel tool for repairs. I also bought o-ring kit from Auto Zone and was able to install new bottom o-ring and it hasn't leaked since. Thanks again for the link.
