Wet brakes

Had a 2015 tri glide, brakes were no problem in the rain. Bought a 2016 tri glide and when it first gets wet the brakes won't work. Any suggestions?

How many miles on the brakes.....?

The brake pads could be glazed or worn ....And if so new pads and rotors are in order?

Brakes are the same pad nunbers on 15 and 16 trikes

HD pads are heavy on the steel in the pads, causeing heat and rapid wear of rotors, where EBC pads are copper sintered for better grabbing poer, less heat and easier on rotors ( they will glaze less providing more consistant stopping power)

HD pads suck IMO, EBC double H sintered are way better IMO

Remember to flush the brake fluid

Draw down the fluid in the master cylinder, use a clean lint free cloth to wipe out the crud in the bottom of the cylinder before adding new fluid to bleed the brakes

I use a Q tip to get the black crud out..I’m always amazed at how much is down there in the recesses of the reservoir..
