Hello & thank you for the welcome!

Looking forward to learning more about trikes in this forum.

I just picked up a1994 GL 1500 SE California Sidecar Trike.

I’m having trouble with the engine oil light staying on and not turning off when I turn the ignition on. Replaced the sending switch with an OEM switch and I’m not sure what I should be looking for from here. Thanks I’m advance if anyone has any suggestions.

Hello & :welcome: to Trike Talk. :clapping:

Like asked above, does the light stay on with the engine running?

Oil switch issue

Terry.....Welcome to Trike-Talk......Are you saying that the light Stays On with the engine running..??.

The light stays on when running and if the wire is removed from the new OEM switch I just installed. Fresh oil & filter & there oil pressure as checked with guage prior to installing the new switch. Unable to locate short but at this point feel like m chasing ghosts.

NO OIL PRESSURE-NOW WHAT??

UPDATE: NEED MORE HELP PLEASE!

Picked up trike was almost home when engine oil light came on. Sounded like lifter clatter. Stopped and checked oil, was above center mark. Let it cool and drive it 1/2 mile home. Trike had been sitting approx a year. Was running rich.

Next day:Changed oil and filter. Replaced oil pressure sensor and light remains on.

Today: Removed the sensor and started the engine and there is NO OIL coming out of the sensor galley/hole with the oil pressure switch removed.

HELP PLEASE!
