Black Rims

I am going to have to talk with my local powder coat guy that has a large enough oven to do mine. Was thinking the silver vain (silver / black) but now that I see these in satin black I like the look. Now wish my bike was black and not Merlot/Black. Still think it would look good.
What type lug covers does those wheels have? Anybody know?

Those are Harley center covers......I just ordered a pair off of EBay for 40 bucks. Part number 83841-09

Dennis,
I like the look, on a black bike. It is very unique. You should go for it.

It's like a twist on a classic Servi-Car look. Not a bad thing if that is the look you are going for. I don't think the factory wheels are the hottest looking wheels but I do like them a lot. Since I didn't win those PMC wheels I plan on adding the hub caps (not the baby moons).

I have had to put this on back burner for now, have too many irons in the fire at this time. At least it is not off the stove.
I am not into the total "black out" on bikes but I also do not like the look and finish of stock wheels. This seems a good option.

Dennis,
So you got it on simmer?. That's cool, nothing wrong with that. Keeps it hot while you concentrate on the rest of the meal. Being a self proclaimed chef I can appreciate that.

Wait, are we talking wheels or dinner here. Damn, now I am hungry........:gah:

Are those the same as the ones that come on the F150 Harley truck? Those are the center covers I'm getting for my wheels as soon as Willy Shinny sends my new chromed wheels. They have some more on ebay, but say they are the F150 HD center wheel cover. They don't give a part number. I think I'll send them a question. Sure save a lot of money.

So the same design only in chrome? I thought I checked.....don't remember those............I bet they are nice looking! Any pics?

If you want to see how they look Rob, go to HarleyDavidson.com and in 2012 bikes go to Trikes. go to the last selection in the drop down, click on customization. I think they look sharp in chrome. Willy Shiny does a swap out a lot cheaper than buying from HD. He also claims to do a better chrome job??? Hope so!

I ride though mud, sand ,salt. So my wheels are a disaster i don't waste time trying to polish them anymore , I think I'm just going to paint them black.
