So long ago.

Oct. 4 1966 Ft. Ord, Ca. Got my draft notice from President LBJ on my 20th birthday. He was pulling 30,000 a month from Texas and California at the time. I didn't have a uniform until 3 weeks into boot camp. The Levis I wore in were it.

Ft [It never stops raining] Lewis....65....

It did snow a couple times while I was there, and froze water in the street.

Command came down and said 'no running today', but there is no speed limit on walking.
