Considering installing rim/tire screws to enable me to go to a lower rear tire pressure. I talked to frankenstein and they told me I needed to stay above 20psi to avoid tire/rim separation. Well, I have been down to 16psi for a long time and the ride is much softer. I would like to go to 10 or 12 for the softer ride. I hoped maybe some folks have tried this. My tires are 60 series, short and fat. I think 195/60/15. About 11 inches wide.

I Screwed the rims down On my racing slicks 6 PSI… that’s said I don’t think I will take a chance on a street tires at 12 PSI might be too much lateral stress…🤔..

Personally I don't think you'll ever peel a tire. Breaking the bead on a flat tire can be a project. I've run down to 6lbs on a front tire and it hardly deflected at all in corners. Have someone follow you and video the tires in sharp turn. I'll bet they don't move much. That's a lot of tire for something that light. Recommended front tire inflation on an old vw is 16lbs. Tubeless tires.
