Wedding anniversary MAGA style!

Well my wife and I celebrated 19 years of wedded bliss! We decided to go to Vegas and stay at the Trump which has been our hotel of choice for more than 15 years. My wife likes that it is not a casino and therefore has limited traffic in the lobby and does not smell of cigarette smoke. In the past, they used to have large floral bouquets which made the hotel smell wonderful except now due to COVID they are not doing the flowers. I talked to one of the staff who said that they are not sure if or when the flowers will come back.

I was very surprised at how busy the Trump was along with how diverse the clientele. All races and nationalities were there. Everyone was friendly to one another and very courteous even when inebriated! You would never know how racist and nationalistic Trump was as a president!

Our son and daughter in-law also came along. They said that they had a surprise for us and we would be picked up at 10:00 pm. The surprise was given away when the bus that picked us up had helicopter rides on the side. We were treated to a night flight around the Vegas strip in a helicopter! It is not something that you see everyday unless you fly in at night and then you are not over the strip. The best part was the flyby of the Trump hotel! The picture is an actual picture taken from the flight. All in all it was a great Vegas vacation!

Just curious...Did anyone give explicit information as to exactly what or why COVID has to do with not having floral arrangements in the hotel?

If I may.. not having floral arrangements it Eliminates the extra people coming in and out talking about and taking care of the flowers.IE:. Sweeping up dally/hourly any flowers and leaves that fall off the arrangements..

The staff member mentioned that the companies that were supplying the flowers were either no longer in business or having troubles supplying the arrangements.

I am sure that rhino's observations might also be valid.

I forgot to mention an interesting observation;

When I started frequenting the Trump hotel, it was mostly business individuals in expensive suits and women mostly dressed in evening dresses. This time around, it was mostly average people dressed every which way. Sporting tattoos was the norm not the exception. I am not sure I noticed one suit on a guest. They seemed to be reserved for staff. The restaurant was actually packed with people. In the past I would only see a handful of people eating there. The prices were not expensive and the food presented well and top notch. The only pricey part of the stay were the drinks. This is to be expected so not out of the ordinary.

I know some of the "average" people were not that average due to the expensive vehicles I would see them pull up in. What was interesting about that was that they were wearing non-designer clothes and not too flashy with the jewelry i.e. Rolex watches, jewel encrusted rings and heavy gold chains. A nice change.
