OK, I broke it, slam the trunk door closed, broke the black plastic housing around the lock. Is there anywhere to pick one up beside the Dealer? Is there any web sites I could order small parts like that?

If the part that broke is the Latch Cover  thats a 14 dollar part...Try Ronnies Harley Davidson .Com ...Part # 83296-11....

That's what happens when you slam the damn thing.

Slowly shut the door and at the end of closure give it a quick little push - closes every time with no breakage.

I've had 3 TG's and not one lock problem with any of them.

Of course there are exceptions - sometimes there are bad locks. That's life.

Be careful! There is a U-clip that holds the assembly in. I bent mine while trying to get the trunk lock back in and wasted three hours trying to get it back together. I finally went to the dealer and bought a new clip for $6.00 and it went together first try!
