Sundowner v. Hammock

Has anyone actually had both? If so, which one did you like the best? I have a Sundowner on my FLHXXX. It may be my imagination, but it seems to feel different than when I had it on my FLHT. Thinking about trying a Hammock (the new style), but it is fairly expensive. Any input from someone who has actually tried both would really be appreciated.

I have a Hammock on my trike and its good up to 2 hours. After that my butt is uncomportable and wanting a gas stop. After that its good again for 2 more houts. The trouble is for me I like to go about 2.5 hours before looking for gas. I had a Sundowner on my Road King but did not do a lot of long riding on it.

I have a friend with a brand new Hammock seat for sale. His wife doesn't like the reduced passenger height. If you're interested I can put you in touch with him.

Sure, send me his email and I'll send what version he has. I'm looking for part number 52000003.

Will do. Might be a couple weeks because he is the First mate on a Tow boat and is on the river for three weeks and home for three weeks. I'll talk to him as soon as I can. I don't have his Email yet.

i have used the hammock hd seat for over a year.it is okay.it has developed to tears in the crack between the two seats, driver and passenger.Iam going to try i hope the hd air seat.iss anyone using it on a hd trike

If you mean the Road Zeppelin, I have one. Best seat I ever owned.

Because I don't have to worry about putting my feet down anymore, if I change seats it would be to either a Road Zeppelin, Travelcade road sofa or something simular...height is not an issue anymore, so might as well get a "cushy" a seat as I can afford...but for now the stock seat and a Alaska Sheep Skin works fine....also have a gel pad that I can throw under the sheepskin if needed....
Works for me anyway.

i had the hammock seat as well. it also developed tears between the front and rear seats as well .The road zeppelin seat is better.I am not tall but they all seem a bit cramped for my legg's.the tall boy seat is no better .
