Younger people and low cost bikes, :Shrug:

If HD doesn't find a way to attract younger folks, there won't be an HD in a few years or a decade. Let's see, in 10 years I will be 82 (Good Lord Willing) and I seriously doubt that I will be buying a new HD. Hopefully my '19 Tri will still be running, I put fewer and fewer miles on every year but enjoy them more and more:D

Harley's dead in the water. They're gonna have to go back to building bowling balls.:) Everybody complained about AMF? But nobody complains about a motorcycle that seems to have more problems than the old ones,but that's okay? The most important assessory on a Harley today is the warranty? What the hell it's only a 30 some thousand dollar motorcycle, we'll let the customer find out what's wrong with it.:Shrug:

If they want to survive they need to price that new sport bike the same as those from Japan or they'll make another mistake, the first being the electric one and how many got excited over that blunder. :xzqxz:

Price has nothing to do with it......The people that buy Sport Bikes for the most part don't own a set of tools.....To paraphrase Ron Popeil ;

They just want to ride them and forget about having to work on them....

The world has changed and Harley has missed the boat. Today's younger generation gets excited over new video games where we got excited over danger in all its forms. We've allowed the younger boys to be feminized by the left and most want nothing to do with danger. Where will the men come from that we'll need to protect this country? Nakita Krushev may have been right back in the 50's when he said: "We'll take over the U.S. without ever firing a shot".

There are a couple of groups of riders here in Indianapolis that are younger dudes. It is so much fun to see what they ride. The bulk of these guys ride older bikes that they buy, make them run, and have at it. Several of them are on British bikes. I find it so interesting to talk with them and see what makes them tick. They are all highly intelligent, financially affluent, and just simply interesting. The groups I see have been around for several years and ride as a group at least one night a week. They all wear helmets, leather jackets, and ride like they have some sense. I think the culture is evolving. All of the manufacturers are going to have to adapt to the new demographic.
