Does anyone know how good the Harley stock oil cooler off a 2010 TG is?
Are the after markets, like the jagg 10 row, cool better and if so how
much more would they lower your oil temps.
thanks
Dan

I have used the Jaggs on all my bikes, they are better than the current HD oil coolers.

Right now I am looking at the fan assisted 10 row Jagg or the Ultra Cooler for my 2011 Tri Glide.

My dad was seeing 290 - 300 degree oil temps when his 09 Triglide was stock. Switched to the Jagg 10 row and tuned it. Now oil temps run 230 - 240 depending on how hot it's out side and the load on the engine, my 2010 runs the same temps.

Most seem to be using the fairing mount - which should have been there as a stock unit, IMHO! I've been told the "dipstick thingie" is not accurate. ;)

i have the dipstick thingie.checked it against a good digital thermomenter in boiling water and it was about 3 degrees higher.212 to 215.seems close enuff.

I have JES dipstick with a oil filled dial thermometer on in and the temp gauge in the dash with the sending unitl at the output side of the oil cooler. I see a 35-40 degree difference. I use a Oilbud oil cooler on my trike. Crusing in 100 degree temps I see 200-210 on my dash gauge

So which one is reading the highest?

The HD VROD has a built in oil cooler. I usually run 180 to 190' With these 100'+ days in TEXAS temps have gone as high as 200'. I tried Royal Purple water wetter last week. I noticed 0' difference only $15.00 poorer. curley

so your thinking that the 10 Jagg oil cooler would cool better than the stock HD cooler?
I woild like to drop another 10 degrees if possible.
I'm running around 230 on 75 to 80 degree weather, goes up to 240/250 on 90 plus
days. would really like to get her running at a steady 220, put don't think that's possible.
is the Jagg 10 row worth the cost or should I just stay with the stock HD cooler.
thanks

IMHO the 10 row Jagg is worth the money. That is what I put on my 09 TG and I am very happy with it.

That is some good news! Seems like your dad was experiencing close to what I am and got it resolved with the bigger cooler and a tune.

Thanks!

I think I'm going with the 10 row Jagg cooler, it's got to cool better than the stock HD
cooler, it's bigger 10 row verus 6 row. At least I hope it cools better.
