Rode today to put a few miles on the Million Mile Monday board. I picked up the Trike April 25th and it is stock except for a 6 inch dark smoked windshield and a 3 pouch t-bag windshield.

I have the usual heat problems and have a few parts ordered and mods planned. I'm lucky to have a very good HD Service Mgr to work with.

I didn't experience any transition problems. I ride my trike, Night Train, drive my jeep and my pickup truck all in the same day without falling over or running over my legs. Some days I add a riding lawn tractor to the mix just for amusement.

Power. The engine is very strong. I can start the trike rolling and twist the throttle and pull the front wheel a foot off the ground and smoke the rear tires. No lag in 6th gear. I have hit 100 MPH and had lots of throttle left.

I have not measured mileage. I switched to Syn 3 at 1000 miles but have not yet did a check. I will after the new mufflers, breather and Power Commander.

All in all I am enjoying it. I have rode with a couple of other trikers in south Louisiana and I'm looking for more people to ride with. Even the Honda TWA crowd. LOL

I ride both 2 and 3 wheels and the only time I had an issues was a couple weeks ago when I got in a hurry. I washed my 2 wheel 06 Ultra Classic then road it back into the garage, got in a hurry and forgot I was riding 2 wheels and simply got off:censored:. I've never dropped a bike until that day, guess I need to pay more attention and not hurry in the future.

:AGGHH: Doubt I'll be trying this anytime soon (getting older and more cautious), but it's good to know the stock 103 runs that strongly. I am going on a two-up, 600-mile jaunt to Nashville with some friends the first week of August, and was wondering if I could get away with comfortably riding with a stock engine/exhaust that first major trip.

I took my lower fairing off. Added pegs to the engine bar and I have no problem with heat while cruising. The problem is stop and go traffic. It warms up the calf and lower part of my thigh way past the comfort point and I strive hard to avoid red lights and heavy traffic. One passenger said it was bad enough to discolor her jeans. The other passenger got off and rode back with someone else.

Ouch. It's hot up here today. That sounds painful. I went to the dealer today, and paid to have the Kuryakyn Perfect Storm wrenched on before I take delivery. New head pipes, mufflers, air cleaner, and map.
