Hi all, I just found this site and decided to register. I am 56 years old and had my left knee replaced 5 months ago and had some complications, lots of therapy, strength is coming back slowly but my bend is limited to about 90 degrees.

I have a black 2008 Harley ultra classic with the 255 cams and the 103 kit dynoed and much chrome, front forks, hand controls etc. only 11000 miles so far because my knee started going south in 09.

I just got up enough courage to get back on and ride some, probably about a 100 miles in three trips so far. I am doing pretty good riding by myself but don't think I will be confident enough to tour with my wife as passenger anymore. I mentioned trading for a tri glide to my wife and was supprised how enthusiastic she was.

I hate to start over with the heat and performance upgrades etc. Especially since mine has it all and runs so good. So I started researching kits and found this site. If I do anything at all it will be later this year or through next winter.

So I am lurking here and enjoying reading everyone's opinions. Should I trade for a new tri glide or have mine converted, cost and quality and value down the road is what I am researching right now.

This looks like the right place to find answers
Thanks

welcome aboard. I would suggest that you convert. You have a nice bike to start with.
