Trike Talk Texas Hill Country Reunion 2019

If you plan a ride to Kerrville put a message out here... I live here and Irondog will be in town for a few more days, then leave, then he will be back in November.

There are a couple of other TrikeTalk members who are in the region and hoping to make a trip back in during cooler fall weather.

Temps are predicted to break starting Saturday... at least down to upper 80’s. It was a tad warm in the afternoons here this week. But the mornings were great to ride in.

I probable will when it cools down a little, it is still a little hot for and old fat man to be out in.

I used to come down to Kerrville the middle of October with a Valkyrie group, temp wasn't to bad then, couple times had a little rain to deal with.

We will be coming down from Michigan, staying at Skyline in Bandera from 2/15- 3/15 and will be looking to ride with other members.

I think Nucseal (Pat) needs to be made the "official tour guide" of the Hill country. 3 days in a row he has surprised us with great rides on roads we knew nothing about. We would start for a place I remember going to before, then he turns off & takes us an entirely different way. GREAT JOB Nuc & Thanks again for an enjoyable trip again today,:clapping::clapping::clapping:

I agree, the rides were so much fun. I managed to turn a 140 mile round trip from home to Kerrville into a 2,197 mile adventure thanks to Bill & Janiene.

Many thanks to Pat for leading the rides, to Ken and Suzanne for joining us and to Randy for this forum where I have met so many wonderful people.

I vote for keeping it in Kerrville. During week is good for me.

I agree with this above. But suggest that we move the Kerrville Rally to the last week of April. Its cool then and the flowers in the country side are blooming. Would make fantastic rides into the surrounding Hill Country. Secondly, it would not be so close to the Maggie Valley Rally and may be able to have some more people to join us.

:Agree:

Thanks for sharing your pictures ya'll :clapping:

By the way Randall, you need to show up. You were topic of discussion, your wife and you were missed by all!!! Don't have to be riding to be part of the family. Everyone at the Kerrville Rally were wishing you were there!

That's actually a pretty damn good idea. Wildflower season in the Hill Country can be spectacular! And I'd suggest a wraparound time frame... like Wednesday - Monday. That way you catch both sides, those who prefer the lower traffic levels on weekdays (hello Twisted Sisters!) and those who are still working and can't make it except on the weekends.

EXCELLENT suggestion on the time frame, Red!

Man Pat...sure wished we could have, but the cards were not in our favor this year.

I had originally taken off the time from work to "entertain " the hope of going, but life got in the way

Michele and I really missed everyone, and hope to attend next year in some fashion, and maybe even get my own piece of BFCC this time :D

Take care of yourself brother, and thanks for your post :good:

as bad as I hate to agree with Bill on anything. he is right, Pat you did a great job. I just made one ride with you, sure wished we could have stayed and made all the rides. look out next year we will make all rides.

Pat, I rode to Opie's in Spicewood with the BMW group. Randall and family met me there for lunch. Perhaps one day we could arrange to meet him, post the time and place for anyone who wants to show up.

Larry and Wendy were talking about a fall ride to Eureka Springs. I don't know exactly when or any motel information.

I found out that the new building going up next door to the Super 8 is a Harbor Freight store. That could be handy...

Finally, a place for the Men to go shopping each year! :D

Hey, Robert, I love Harbor Freight. I have the little freebie flashlights to prove it.;)

I thought it said Artic. I have googled it and come up with some similar-looking spellings and products but I just wanted to make sure. He opened the lid on that thing just before he left for home and it still had some good ice floating around in it... it had been 3 days sitting in HOT Texas sun.
