Still gives me chills watching these videos! I was just a kid, fresh out of high school when I watched Armstrong set foot on the moon on live TV.

People came out of their houses to look up at the full moon in awe at man's accomplishment that night.

Amazing that my grandparents witnessed the 1st manned air flight and the 1st steps on the moon in one lifetime!

NOTE: The Discovery Channel will broadcast the highlights of Apollo Mission 11 at 8 p.m. EST tonight.

I remember my wife and I standing out in the street and looking up at the moon right after watching the landing on TV.:clapping:

We couldn't see them !!!

My wife has since become a conspiracy theorist about the Moon Landing.

I guess I am one of the few people who was not impressed with the moon walk.

After all, it took away the mystery and the magic of the moon as seen through a child’s eyes. Guess it was kind of like finding out there was no real Santa Clause and Easter Bunny....

Speaking of bunnies... I could never see the “man in the moon”.. I always saw a rabbit standing at the end of a table...still do.

If you ever get a chance to visit the Kennedy Space Center, there is a Saturn V laying on it's side to view. It is HUGE! Approx 363 ft. tall. A great museum to visit.
