HD Dealership in St. Louis Area on Fire!

A huge HD Dealership in St. Charles, MO which is over the Missouri river from St. Louis is having a major fire. It's up to 4 alarm and looked bad on TV.

The name is St. Charles HD Motorsports.

I mentioned this because my oldest sons $50,000 custom Harley was there getting worked on. Here's a link to news coverage:

We were scheduled to ride to Durango, CO for the 4 Corners Motorcycle Rally next month.

Hopefully his bike wasn't in the affected area, they should have insurance to cover any bikes damaged in the fire. That's sad news.

The Insur co will take there sweet old time settling . That trip might be on hold , unless theres a back up for him. It won’t get released if any damage at all happened to it. Good luck.

The newest video from this morning showed dozens of bikes sitting out back. They said it started in the shop.

I'm still going to Durango. He's going to try to find out more today.

I don't think the Harley part of the dealership was affected. The 2 buildings are connected by a tunnel, so there may be some smoke damage. I heard they were open today.

I just heard that on the news that they were open. Your correct, I think it was the Japanese bike side. With all the smoke last night it was hard to tell what was burning.

I personally don't go there, I prefer Doc's HD.

I remember you mentioning that.

Doc's HD is the best I have found. I mainly have dealt with service & parts, but that's who you need to be stand up people. All sales people try to be friendly.

I have always tried with cars & bikes to bypass sales & check out service. What's nice is they know I purchased in CA & they are still great. They also give bikers on the road traveling top priority & that's also a sign of a great service department.
