WATER PUMP.

Well ,after almost 34,000 miles I finally got hit for the WP. They now rebuild it with a stronger unit, I was told. ESP $50. At least it happened now & is ready for trips this summer. Went out on way back to Sanibel Island after the Snowbird Gathering. Ft Myers dealer was of no use to us, so we got it back & just loaded it in the trailer for 2 weeks till time to come home. My Dealer had one & fixed it same day, so we are ready to go.

Yeah Ted, I kinda figured it would After all the posts I have seen. At least I got it to the house in Sanibel. And, now it is ready for summer trips. Nice meeting you in Ormond.

James, we’ve all been meeting/staying at Kerrville and riding the “sisters” and everywhere else for several years now at this meetup....never gets old. The folks who attend are great. We have a blast.

Are you coming this year?

Back to the original topic , if I had the older model with the pump issue , and did not have a issue , I’d go to the dealer and tell them that the temp light comes on and off all the time. They will replace it as a intermittent problem :Shrug: . Worth the inquiry before a trip , as it ruined my last years MV trip :gah:

Not sure that would fly.. First thing they looked for was diagnostic code to verify the pump quit working. That said, this new one is same as on the newer bikes. $500 plus to repair.... $50 for me with the ESP. Dealer told me it is a bear to change as New one is completely diff. Their time was much longer than what they are reimbursed for . Many things to change over for this new one to install. They are asking ESP for more install time.
