Another question:

Has anyone had any experience with installing a limited slip diff in your Lehman trike rear end? What would be the pitfalls?

I don't see any pitfalls......Just every pick-up truck has it and many cars also...

Every car i bought since the 60's had it and the same with every truck..

Most rear wheel drive vehicles [Especially pick-ups] are useless in ice and snow/mud and even wet grass from a stand still without it....

The only pitfall I could see is the LS differential not releasing when turning exiting the Interstate and your inability to avoid the guardrail. There is a reason that Trike manufacturers don't incorporate a LSD into their models.

With limited slip in my trike, would be easy for the front tire to be pushed sideways as I bring the trike up the hill and around the house to go ride …… as it is front will sometimes side slip if too heavy on throttle, even on dry grass.

And talk about front tire life, even on dry pavement pulling out of parking lots into roadways under heavy throttle would not be helpful to front tire life.

What problem would be solved with a trike fitted with a LSD anyway?

Really? Must be technique.

My former life, I was a trooper for over 30 years with snow / muddy backroads / working snow wrecks / getting off and on highway from soft or muddy or snowed over shoulders / etc …… and to this day my former dept. never ordered cars with LSDs and very seldom do I recall having any problems.
