Trike Talk Texas Hill Country Reunion 2018

Don’t have an answer to that one Fuzz.... I kind-of doubt it. They’re busy getting ready for you for lunch and supper. Besides, there’s the hotel “freebie” breakfast or the Cracker Barrel is within walking distance of the Super8.

Oh Sure...let the slow guy lead  besides Carla doesn't like Coopers...:cxtv:

Now Randall... I just said it wasn’t at the top of MY list.

However, I would eat there if others would like to. It’s not bad...I think its hype exceeds its taste just a little.

What day are you and Michelle coming in?

Hey Robert...the panhandle is way out of the way for me.

I’ve got an almost straight shot from Midland to San Angelo, Junction, Kerrville. Pretty easy ride. It gets a lot better just past San Angelo...the hills, trees, grass, and water show up for the rest of the trip in. :clapping: 4-lane ALMOST all the way now except for a strip just south of Eden to Junction.

Leaving Angleton, which route would you take to Kerrville?

We normally take TX-35, pickup Alt-90 @ Eagle Lake to Seguin, and then pickup TX-46 via New Braunfels to Boerne to Tx-87, pickup I-10 open into Kerrville.

There are other ways however this one is an easy ride with plenty of stops and normally light traffic.

Made the Texas monthly top 50 BBQ places...but we have so many places represented in this great state.

Anywhere we decide, with good friends along for the ride it's going to be great place to eat :clapping:

We're hoping to be there early Thursday

that’s how it’s done in Texas if you are out in the field and it’s time to eat.

Of course, right now you wouldn’t have to do that...just put the food out under direct sun for about 3 seconds... it will be nice and hot. :D

The hotel room has a frig and microwave I’m pretty sure. Then, there ‘s always the hair dryer....

In years past, I used to keep a roll of aluminum foil in my truck. I've made some good grilled cheese sandwiches with a hotel iron. Works way better than a microwave. :)

I'm thinking chocolate chip cookies... 😋 it made it to 104* with the heat reflecting off the pavement it was 135*

Yeah, with heat like this you have to watch what you put in your saddlebags/trunk for a snack....a gooey mess isn’t too satisfying when you finally get around to eating it. Putting it in the cooler with the drinks is the only way to go.

You could come to Texas a few days early and/or stay a few extra days. In less than one mile on Hwy. 46 in New Braunfels you can get Cooper's, Black's or Rudy's BBQ and go to Gruene HD. There are a few Mexican restaurants between the BBQ places also, but I can only vouch for one of them.

Since you are traveling so far, it would be a shame not to make the most of it.

Come on you picking on poor FuzzywuzHe?

Damn and doing a good job too! ..... Sorry FuzzywuzHe..... :D

Y'a know Robert... it's like this, we Texans are rolling out the welcome wagon for the Hill country meet and well... Fuzzy here, he just stepped right in front of it.

The Texas gathering is a few months away and we mean no harm. I'm just hope our friend makes it to our Kerrville meet so I can shake his hand , put a beer in it and tell him what a good sport he's been
