Twisted Sister Tour Ride for Rally

Papa Zook (TT Admin) and Myself are working on a Scenic Ride on the 3 Twisted Sisters for the Rally. There are several options for rides, from 50-200 miles of the beautiful Hill Country. I would like to start a pole on ride distances, don't want to overwhelm anyone on the journey.

We will get a map together and show all planned stops along the route that we can pass out in case anyone is late, or takes a slower pace than we anticipate and would be able to meet back up at our scheduled stops along the route.

Right now I'm thinking the 100 mile route start to finish in addition to the 16 miles from Kerville to hwy 337 (mouth of Twisted Sisters) would be a good Tour. Just post up what you guys would be most interested in, and we will plan according to the majority. Pace is planed to be easy and relaxed more of a scenic trip to take in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. We can also do multiple day trips and break it up?

Bryan

You guys plan it , I will ride it. We did the Sisters last year ,but as it was our first time, can't tell ya how long it was or which way we went. Was most of the day ride I remember. Lola knows lolololol

I’ve ridden the “Sisters” and the general area many times - it never gets old.

So plan it ... they will come!

Awesome, another ride!!!

From Kerville hwy 16 to Medina take 337 to Vanderpool, We will take 187 to the http://www.lonestarmotorcyclemuseum.com and eat some lunch this will all be definite. From there you guy's let us know. 336 around to 335 back to 337 is a long ride, but very curvy and beautiful. We can always go up either and turn around or do the entire trip would be around 125 miles back to Medina.

Hope ya don't plan on lunch at the museum... Just checked the website. "
The cafe will be closed after 2014. We will still have cold drinks, ice cream, and chips.

No BBQ restaurants in Leakey, but the Bent Rim is a good Restaurant and they do have BBQ Sandwiches, but not plates from what I recall. The other ride will be BBQ day I guess. We can eat somewhere else, just a suggestion and what I know along the route.

There is, or was, a BBQ joint in Leaky...but I’ve only eaten a quick pulled pork sandwich there. It was on the corner of the main drag intersection of hwy 83. I don’t know if there are other BBQ places there or not now. The motorcycle shop they plan to to visit just on the other side of town has hamburgers I believe but I haven’t tried it.

if memory serves me right they are in Camp Wood, we stopped off when riding with the Fiat club, they were nice people and Bbq was good too...
