I used the ride planner at HD.com and created a few rides. I downloaded each ride as a .GPX file to import into my bikes navigation system. There is nothing other than the GPS files and my bike does not see them. Has anybody else have this issue and is there a fix?

Hello Rich! No answers for you - just wanted to say welcome to TrikeTalk from west Texas.

Since you are so close you might want to consider coming to the TrikeTalk gathering at Kerrville the first week of October. There will be some other folks from San Antonio attending. We have a blast. No registration fees, no prizes. Just ride, eat, meet and kick tires! Hope to see you there!

GPS FILES

I used the ride planner at HD.com and created a few rides. I downloaded each ride as a .GPX file to import into my bikes navigation system. There is nothing other than the GPS files and my bike does not see them. Has anybody else have this issue and is there a fix?

Format USB Thumb drive.

drop file from computer to drive.

name the file (unless already named to your liking) ex: riverrunjune2018.gpx

turn on head unit. once booted up press home button

hookup thumb drive ( should come on screen >> "No playable media found" press OK

press MENU button top right of screen

Press IMPORT on next screen

Press USB screen prompt

scroll to route you want to import ex: riverrunjune2018.gpx or press select all

press NAV button press MORE then trips

If riding and sharing the GPX file make sure all riders GPS settings match avoidance etc.. then no confusion

hope that helps you??

I have done all that, but my bike does not "list" the files. Is there a delay that I have to keep the thumb attached in order for the bike to "see" the files? Also my thumb drive is formatted to FAT32

FAT32 is the correct format and YES you do need to leave the thumb drive attached until the entire process is completed. I'm sure you've noticed that the BoomBox is VERY slow to boot up and to respond to commands. I don't understand why that is in this day and age when chips are so fast. No excuse imo for the BoomBox to be so sluggish. It's like a Windows computer from 20 years ago. But it is what it is and we have to live with it.

Thanks for replying, I was busy lol
