I just installed the dynojet tuner on my bike along with an air cleaner I got from DK Custom. Why does it look like I'm using twice the fuel?

Because you are ! You need more fuel to mix with the more air intake = Happy motor :clapping:

More air, more fuel= more power and a cooler running engine
With the Power Vision tuner you can fine tune some to get a bit better gas mileage

We really need a little more info from you about your tuner. You said you got a DynoJet, but not which model. We assume it is a Power Vision and is correctly installed on your bike. Did you buy the Power Vision from DK Custom or from someone else? Did the company you bought it from also give you a "tune file" based on your engine and equipment to get you started? Most selling dealers will provide such a tune for you. I assume you are exaggerating a little about burning twice the fuel. However it is not unusual for fuel mileage to drop some on bikes with tuners added. The factory bikes are running lean to comply with EPA regulations. I am not going to begin to start trying to explain "tuning" to you because it is very involved and I am not a real "tuner". You can find many threads (long threads) on several forums.
Are you making any "auto tune basic" runs with the Power Vision? The PV basic auto tune will do a pretty good job of tuning your bike using the factory narrow band O2 sensors, and it shouldn't take but a few runs to do it. To use the PV in "wide band" Auto Tune or Target Tune, you have to install wide band 02 sensors, and is more involved. If you bought the tuner from DK, and you are having trouble, call DK and get Devin to call you when he has time. Kevin is out on a month long road trip, but Devin or someone their can help you.
I actuall didn't lose any MPG on my 07 Road Glide with the power vision, but I did lose 3-4 MPG on the 16 Tri Glide with the PV Target Tune. Stick with it and I think you will like the results. It will run a little richer and cooler also.

I have the power vison and got it from fuel moto. They installed a tune for me to use. I have not done any auto tunes with it yet. How do I do auto tunes?

First of all, Jamie or Bryan and others at Fuelmoto will be glad to help you with anything you need help on. However, they stay very busy and at times it will take them awhile to answer you. When you ordered your PV from Fuelmoto they should have asked you what year and model your bike is and if it is totally stock, or if not stock what mods you have installed. That is the info they use from their huge database for bikes exactly like yours they have tuned in the past. When you ordered, did they know you had a stage 1 air filter kit installed? I ask this because you said you recently installed a DK filter kit. What I would do next is email Fuelmoto , give them your order number info for the PV and ask for an updated "tune file" for your bike WITH a stage 1 AC kit installed. They will be glad to send you a new starting tune file for your bike with the stage 1 AC kit installed. I am assuming this is all the mods you have made, however, if you have changed exhaust head pipes or mufflers etc. they need to know all of that also. OR>>> you can just start running Auto Tune Basic runs and it should make changes for the AC kit you installed.
Now, I assume you know how to use the PV software to transfer a file from your computer to the PV etc.? I assume when you installed the PV and the software you went thru the procedure of saving your stock file and applying the license to your bike etc etc. If all of this PV tuning and file stuff is totally new to you, i would advise you to do this:
1. Get the tune file fuelmoto gave you installed and running on your trike...it appears you have already done this.
2. Go ahead and run the trike some while you learn a little more about the Auto Tune process.
3. Go to youtube and search for "how to use Auto Tune Basic on the Power Vision". Fuelmoto, DynoJet and others have a bunch of good videos on using the PV.
4. Find a couple of good videos on running AT Basic and write down on a card each step as you watch the video. Carry the card with you as make the runs.
5. Find a couple of videos on using the software such as WinPV and the update program. Learn how to save the new tune files, when you do an auto tune run, to your computer etc. Learn how to rename the files if you want them renamed etc.....
6. DON'T GET IN A BIG HURRY! Take your time, it is a lot to learn. Ride like you normally do while learning this stuff. After you learn how to make the AT runs, you probably will not need to do but 3 or 4 to have a good AT Basic tune.
7. When making the AT runs on the PV try to ride like you normally would but include a little of everything, some slow, slow normal, some hard acceleration up around 4500- 5000 in 3rd 4th, 5th gear, some hills if possible and just cruising. Shouldn't take over 20-25 minutes per run.
8. Other people are going to give you a bunch of other ideas and how to do an AT basic run. Listen to all of them but don't get BOGGED down with all the different ideas and become frustrated. You are not tuning a Nitro Fuel Car etc. On the other hand, don't expect miracles as far as performance and mileage goes. You will lose some MPG.

Also, let me remind you of one thing. Each time you do an AT run and flash it back to your ECM, you will use THAT file as the starting point for the next AT run file, and on and on. In other words you are building on the original file in steps by adding to the previous file each time. You start with the file Fuelmoto gives you and make a run....the PV will name the new file and you load it into the ECM. The next AT run you make you will start with the tune you previously created and so on each time. Does this make sense?

Nice write up on this. I've only loaded the tune I got from DK and haven't done any auto tuning yet. The info you gave will help me take the next step.
