Stop me if I'm WRONG here, but If we go "many 1000's of miles on the same filter, doesn't that filter get plugged up, and does not filter like it does when replaced at a 3000 miles interval ??
(Just my "personal thinking" here)
I feel that a new filter will "filter" out impurities, in the oil flow much better then a plugged up, very high mileage, ..
Please correct me if I'm wrong......... Thank all!
Ronnie
I don't consider 5,000 miles high mileage & have used these filters on my car for years.
I urge you to do what you feel is best.
5,000 miles on a quality filter is not a problem, unless your using crude.
