I have talked with everyone at Champion, Micheal did get $80 of my overnight shipping back, had I not been caught out on the road at the time I would have returned punkin, packing non exsisent, bearing surface damaged, and new punkin looked like it had been dragged from Calif...came away feeling like I was a stepchild instead of an owner...very depressed

Seems Champion came up with an upgrade on swingarm and motor mount conversion and forgot to inform dealers. thanks to parts man I was advised of possible upgrade and he sent the parts so I could beefup supension and possibly not break another transmission case...cudos to the partsman!!!

Muley, If this is all true I sure would feel like a ugly left handed step aunt....You still haven't said if you had a builder do the job or you did it....What was up with the guarantee??? Was it out of time or what ???? Was the punkin shipped to you by Jaun Valdez and his coffee bean burro or how ???? Lot of unanswered questions please elaborate !!!! Oh, and welcome to Trike Talk

The trike was built by Knitt Hill trikes straight off show room floor, orignal owner had health problems and Knitt Hills Trikes bought it back with 2000 miles on it, they put 6000 miles on it and when I bought it it had 8000 miles on it and its 2005 model that no warrinty.....the shipping was UPS.....the beaner that put punkin in box used no packing at all...not even as much as a piece of tape on bearing surface...the box was a paint can box that looked like a basketball instead of a box....punkin was scared up and bearing surface took quite a bit of filing before it would take bearing. UPS was rough on it but with proper packaging would have been a great help! Oh, and the person doing the work with my assistance was my brother-in-law, a certified harley wrench with over 30 yrs exp behind him and recently retired from Bartlesville Cycle Sports in Okla. his motto..." your life is in my hands, when I fix something its done right".....any more questions?...thanks for bending your ear,,,Muley

Wow, I can see why your upset !!!!I think that Ups would be a little responsible for some of the damage... Usually I pay extra for insurance on most of my stuff....Sometimes like now it prolly would have been some help.... But then again there is your labor also !!!!!

The packer is responsible. Unless the shipping container is tore open the contents are the responsibility of the shipper. It says that in the agreement.
