Hello all
can anyone recommend a way yo lift trike without having to spend a fortune??
I put a belly pan on yesterday and it was a pain in the neck. I have heard some talk about 12" ramps but i am skeptical. Has anyone ever done this?

I have the CSC wit he ground effects.

Thanks

I use a pair of ramp from wally world for our trike, raises the rear eight to ten inches. With the trike on the ramps I can lay on a creeper and roll under to service it. I also bought a extra ramp for the front. If I need the whole trike up, I drive up on the rear ramps then jack up the front and put the ramp under the front tire in the opposite direction of the rear ramps.
Then you can get at the bottom of the trike from any direction.
We have the running boards also.

Hope this helps

That is certainly one way of doing it.

Thanks. I will carefully try this. I just can't visualize there being sufficient clearance. I was told the if I locked 3 ramps in place on the ground that I should also be able to drive the whole thing up...???

Maybe, if one did not have foot fairings this would work:yes:
I have requested PitBull look at a jack for trikes!

That's the way I do it also. Works fine. If you have the Running Boards, you cannot drive up onto the ramps since the boards are too low. You have to backup onto the ramps.

Assuming you have reverse!
I do, it's a Wing but, I wonder how much strain is that putting on the reverse mechanism????
I'm thinking it would be better to jack up the rear w/a floor jack, use jack stands, then jack up under the motor to get the front up, cribbing the front wheel. Thoughts:confused:

drive up onto the ramps
Being a firm believer - and demonstrator - of Murphy's Law, I don't think I would personally drive up. The 1st time I drove the Harley into my trailer, it didn't occur to me that - with the front just sitting on the jack wheel and no support at the rear - that the entire trailer just might tilt back. Which it did. Nearly lost it.

Then there's the time I launched my boat without tying it off first. The list goes on. Murphy's Law prevails.
