Tour Pak Re-locate

Thanks Lee. It appears in the link to be 3 variations. Which one would accomplish what I want to do?

I guess the first question is do you have a 2006 or later Harley-Davidson Tourpak or is it 2005 or earlier ?

The 2005 or earlier have grooves in the bottom of the Tourpak that match the raised ribs on the top of the Renegade body. The 2005 and earlier are fixed mounted but can be relocated further back. Depending on how it was initially mounted you might be able to drill additional holes in the Tourpak, if not then it will be necessary to drill into the top of the body and seal the existing holes. There was no additional bracket needed for those Tourpaks.

The 2006 and later Tourpak is not as strong structurally as the earlier version and requires a different mounting system. Part of the system is used to sturdy up the base of the Tourpak. It is a real PITA to work with. If you have the later system it is also secured to the top of the body. Depending on how it was initially mounted you might be able to drill additional holes in the Tourpak, if not then it will be necessary to drill into the top of the body and seal the existing holes.

At one time I had looked at making a sliding styled rack.MF2901 seat track.jpg
