Riding to the shop this morning was more interesting than normal! :)

I saw a bird flitting around, at the last second I realized it was Not going to miss me.

I pulled my right hand off the throttle just as it flew into the brake lever, then skimmed up my glove.

The front brakes went on for just a split second...I was doing about 50 mph...glad I was on the Tri-Glide.

.

About 10 minutes later I topped a hill and there were 7 (seven) deer walking down the road.

Amazingly, even though they turned and saw me, they did not run off. I blipped the throttle a couple of times (yeah, I have a horn, but rarely use it) and they slowly meandered off the road.

Very strange. I usually only see 1, 2 or at the most 3 at a time. 7 is unusual, but even more unusual was their seeming indifference to me being right on top of them.

Another interesting day in the life of a daily rider. :)

If like PA the deer tend to herd up for survival in the winter it's just the way they are here. till they start having fawns in late May and June. Fred

Had a bunch of grackles flush right in front of me at 70mph on my old Sporty once. Having been on bikes since I was about 15, I ducked.

My daughter behind me didn't. She had a few choice words when one of 'em missed her face by inches.

I think you are riding through a zoo on the way to work - last week it was a snake and a bobcat - this week birds and deer!!

If we see a post about pink elephants there will be an official request to pee in a bottle...:D

Just keep the shiny side up whatever you encounter!!

Cheers

:laugh::laugh: If I see a pink elephant, well, I reckon I won't share it, and I'll voluntarily go to the head doc for some help....AFTER I take a photo of it!!! ROFL.
