I pick up my Freewheeler today

This afternoon I will pick up my 2016 Freewheeler in vivid black. I got the engine guard, tall boy seat and footrest extenders. I will likely get the sissy bar but want to see the bike with the tall boy first. I thought that the bar would make it easier to put on luggage.

Thanks to all for the great info on the forum. I have many great ideas that I will incorporate over the next weeks to personalize the bike.

I'm buying it from Iron Valley HD in Manheim, PA. I purchased my last 4 or 5 bikes from John, the sales manager and he gave me a KILLER deal.

The weather is cooperating with sunny skies and 80+ temps. I'm really

My Ultra Custom will not be as lonely in the garage...

Vivid Black. Both my bikes are sunglo and I am craving a fast bike and everyone knows black is the fastest

Pics coming...

Black is not a color its a thin layer of color that absorbs sunlight, Which causes a molecular level 2 drag.

And will create a slow down effect though ambient and non ambient air. [AKA The Rattengerg Theory]

As reported in Rocket Science Weekly.....:)

What did he say ??? :xzqxz:

Only 80 miles and look at that smile, congrats on the scoot, it looks really nice.

What a great ride. 80 miles today...

(4 in the HD parking lot--honest!)

Anyone who disrespects Trike riders should try riding one. It is a lot of work, but really fun!

I have a 2015 with 12,000 miles on it and am very happy with it. And, Black is the fastest color!

Once your upper body workout kicks in its easy. Somthing the younger generation can't comprehend, that's called EFFERT and MOTOVATION. Ride safe. :clapping:

I would recommend having HD put on the paint protection kit. I wish someone had told me when I bought my freewheeler that rock chips would gravitate to the back two fenders and fender wells. Mine is chipped all to pieces.

P.S.: as you are finding out , once the learning curve is basically over these things are a ton of fun. And yes you can tour comfortably on a free. Did over 650 miles in one day my first time out . I did not want to stop riding.

Update

Well over a week and some changes made.

A bit over 400 miles and I changed the headlight to the Dual Bulb Halogen (67700032); put on the engine guard; from eBay nice Chrome & Rubber foot pegs (121734760288 ); added a cup holder on the handlebars and one on the grab bar on the right rear; the seat is a Tall Boy with the Rider Backrest Kit (52589-09A) and non-adjustable Backrest from my old FLTCU; also from eBay a long Chrome Knurled Extended Shifter Peg (121976754637 ); and fringed leather grips.

I also bought the Custom Dynamics LED lights form Dennis Kirk but didn't pay attention and only ordered one smoke lens, so I'll have to wait til Monday when it arrives.
