Hi yall.... It's been too long....

008.jpg

I have not ridden in 2 years due to medical issues... But I am doing much better now. That and now I'm retired and ready to hit the road. It's been so long since my last ride or beer or cigarette.... LOL! I took all the money I saved on the bad habits above over the last 5 years and have begun a new session of upgrades to include....

1. A new set of wide whitewall tires all the way around. Metzler 888 front and Coker Rears.
2. A Vulcan 7 degree springer rake kit.
3. A Paughco trike pickup bed ala Model "A".
4. Model "A" tail lights.
5. Some new paint and powder coat.
6. All new liquids, filters, & battery.
7. A stock x-bones solo front tractor seat to replace the p pad in the back.
8. Passenger floor boards.
9. Some anti vibration pegs for my case savers.
10. Jockey Shift and foot clutch
11. 2" rear drop to go with the 1 1/2" drop up front due to the rake kit.

And after I get momma to agree to it, I plan to add a servi-car rear bumper and box side handles.

It's in the shop now and should be back in my hands around this time next month. Normally I would have done most of the work myself but alas I no longer have the dexterity. So I opted to argh... Let someone else do the work.

I cannot wait to get my knees in the breeze again.

Pics will be coming soon....

Yep them vices really cost me a ton of bucks.... What I coulda done with the $$$ over the years... Hindsight is a kick in the head sometimes. That and what they did to my health.

But live and learn.... Now all I can concentrate on is cruising down the boulevard and smiling ear to ear.

I'm looking forward to sharing the pics when I get her back.

My baby as she sits right now. There she is with her whole front end splayed out and new raked steering stem test fitted....

Damn them beach bars look huge from this angle... LOL

I have someone CNC etching then powder coating my derby cover. He first cut it in wood to make sure the settings were correct (first pic). Then he did the derby (second pic). On top of that... I get to keep the wood one. All that's left now is the powder coat.

Bart and Chief were my mentors and friends when I got out of the dirt and came over to the road side of motorcycles. Both were 30 years my senior but they accepted me as one of them. They broke me in with a 24 hour ride from central Texas to Sturgis (1200 miles)... That's where I got my road name Pup. They both started calling me Pup... And it stuck.

Chief... Bart.... I miss you guys....

More trike stuff to come.... Happy Labor Day weekend.

Hahahaha I doubt you would get the opportunity.... The problem with your offer is.... How could you ride it with me on the seat and holding the handlebars?

LOL!!!

Pup

I guess I could curl up in the Box....but at my size you'd have to put Wheelie Bars back there!!

It's been a long time coming.... She's ready for paint. I am going with a Denim Black without the stock Crossbones pinstripes and HD logo decals. With 1938 NOS HD tank badges. Later I will probably add a pinstripe drawing of an old pickup truck filled with turnips with the words "TURNP TRUCK" on the tailgate.

Beautiful job. I can't wait to see the finished trike. The only thing that looks modern is the front brake.
I like you passenger "bucket" seat, too. ThumbUp

Here she is fresh from the painter. Too bad I badly sprained my ankle after the short test drive around the block the day I got her back. I'm hoping for a longer ride soon.... Just my luck. But I am very happy that she came out so nice.
