Cleaning front wheel

This might sound a little off base, I use a brush with a handle on it & a bar of lava soap. Scrub brush on wet soap & than scrub wheel, this is done with wheel jacked up so in will turn while scrubing.

Mothers powerball

I use a polishing power ball on cordless drill for detailing the wheel no problem in getting crud off after I just wash the polishing ball. 12" handle after cleaning I use it to polish behind rotors works slick for me. Wheels look like new. ride safely fearless

meguiars makes some really good wheel cleaner. You get the type for your wheels. Cast raw and powder coated wheels uses the blue, actually you can use it on all wheels. The one made for chrome is the best but you can't use it on raw or powder coated wheels, not suggested.

Makes clean wheels quick and simple. If just a touch up, spray and rinse, wait only 15 seconds. If they have built up grim, brake dust etc.. use a brush or pad then rinse. They will look new in a few minutes.

If I went to a bike wash like that my wife would beat me up. LOL

Odd man out here.. I Haven't clean my wheels in years, I just let nature take its course. It ain't pretty, But ether am i... To paraphrase a Harley saying... Run it must.. Shine' who cares. Every now and then i say to myself, I gotta do something to those wheels. But i learned to get over that quick:xzqxz:
Just yesterday i took a quick run up to my hunting club, To see if our dam held [It did], To get into the property i had to drive on a dirt/mud road about a mile one way, If i had to worry about the wheels i would have taken the Truck , And miss out on a 180 mile trike ride..

1950'S Tech

Sometime in the 1950's Dad bought me a new bicycle. He tied a small leather strap loosely around the wheel hubs. Kept them shining like new. Have one on the front of my 2015 tri glide.

I had a set of leather straps with reflectors on the axles of my early sixties Schwinn. They did keep the axles shiny clean. Hadn't thought of that in years...
