Vetter Ferrings

I had a Vetter on my Cb750... 1970??. That made it possible to ride longer in cold weather ThumbUp

I had Vetter fairing and Bags on CX500C and Vetter Fairing on CB900. Really good quality and aero styling. Those were the Good ol' days!! Glad he is OK. A Deer may as well be a Brick wall if you hit one, or a freight train if they hit you.:AGGHH:

Yup! On a new Suzuki GS1100E in 1980. Both Vetter fairing & bags. I actually had to wait for them to come out of R&D. Made for a great touring bike in those days. Only problem was, with that OEM bench seat, I could barely make it from rest stop to rest stop on a cross country trip.

Yep I too had one on a 1978 CX500. Glad to read that it looks good that he will heal. Those darn deer can get you when you least expect it.

Well I had (2) one was a 1978 CB400A that my wife rode and had a Vetter / Windjammer front faring and then I bought a 1978 CB750A in 1980 and it had the Vetter / Windjammer All around, the 400 is gone but still have the 750 Automatic and it still runs great and shifts fine.... didn't need much to take the original owners crap off.... my photos may not load correctly but here goes....

I forgot how giant that Faring looked on that CB400A , she took it off and changed to a clear front faring much smaller and she didn't like that either... just made a good around town bike... when you could ride around town without being run over....

Craig Vetter virtually started the farkle movement on the Gold Wing. The first wing to hit the street was just that, a bare bones street bike with no farkles and a flat 4 engine with shaft drive. The Gold Wing purchased tomorrow will have a flat 6 with shaft drive and a multitude of farkles.

Had a Windjammer on my one and only Yamaha in 1981. Didn't keep it long. Walked in to a Honda dealer in Ottawa Ohio, and saw a brand new 1982 Gold Wing Interstate on the floor for $4895.00 Said to my buddy I sure would like to have that bike and he said he sure would like to have my Yamaha. Two hours later I walked into the house and my wife asked how my ride went. I walked her outside I told her what I had "picked up" that day. I thought she was going to faint.

My wifes first bike was a blue one just like that but she did not have the fairing.

Had a WindJammerSS on my '77 XS750. Sold it in '79 and bought a '77 GL1000 with the same fairing and 8-track player! Those were the days!
