Hand control issue

Started with my right turn signal switch. Press it, light works, but the switch has no movement in it. Odd. I reported it to the dealer during the 1k service. They ordered a replacement. It's been on back order since then (late March). Next was the horn. Suddenly the volume decreased significantly. It worked, but you could not hear it when the bike was above an idle. Third to go is the multi function toggle switch. It was stuck on the time. I've gotten it to go to odometer by removing the main fuse for a few minutes. At least now I know what my mileage is. Dealer has ordered both sides now, reporting that they are still on back order. Horn returned to normal yesterday. But then I had issues getting the reverse to work. R would just flash and then turn off. It eventually worked. Dealer is convinced it is in the controls. States they have replaced a bunch of the 14-15's already for cruise switch etc breaking. Fact that they are back ordered tells me I am not alone with issues. Bike runs fine. I can see how many miles I have. So I can wait for the parts.

For the $$ you paid, I would park it at the dealer and demand a loner. If no loaner let him make the payments till it's fixed. If no payments demand a loaner. he can get a rental from another Harley dealer.

Antelope Valley Harley Davidson offered me a 'loaner trike' to ride to breakfast while mine was in for service. Guess I found the Ultimate Dealer.

Donuts Saturday morning, BBQ Hotdogs in the afternoon.

I think you did find the ultimate dealer...:pepper:

I do like Antelope Valley HD myself, nice folks there...We should catch up with each other at Antelope HD sometime ( Call or pm me ) My wife likes buying shirts and stuff there as they always have a great selection. On another note we bought our Lance travel trailer up there at Richards Boat & RV. The Lance brand trailers and campers are manufactured right there in Lancaster.

Take Care Brother, :)

Our free turn's just barely moves, sometimes I have to look to see if it is flashing. I can feel a very slight click so I can tell now.
If I crank the engine and put it in reverse quickly the R light will flash and not go into reverse. If I let it run for a couple of minutes it goes into reverse with no problem.
The dealer will take care of it, that's what a warranty is for.

I see I'm not alone!

Dealer will take care of it. I can still enjoy it. And I plan on doing that as much as I can!

My reverse light blinks when I'm not in neutral or I'm holding the clutch lever in even if I'm in neutral. Pilot error on my part.
