I was working Sunday and a medical assistant that just started in our department came up to me and said she heard I rode and wondered if it was true. I guess I shock people when they learn I ride, guess I don't look the type or something. I told her yes and she said she wanted to invite me to the club her and her husband belong to and they do benefits for children etc. She said its a fun group of people and there are a few other women that ride their own. She rides her own. She said we need to plan a gal trip somewhere. I thought that was awesome as I've been riding on my own except for once and that person said they didn't really care for riding with a trike that takes the whole lane. Oh well..... I asked her if it made a difference if I don't ride a Harley, that's the other obstacle around here and she said no. I'm looking forward to going. She's a funny person and make the work day go so fast and you just have to laugh when she is around.

But the story gets better......she came out to talk to me Sunday evening when it was slow because I worked most of the day by myself, my partner was off. We started talking about ice cream and I told her I was going to make a stop in Taylorville on the way home and get lemon ice cream. She told me she use to live in Taylorville and stopped for lemon all the time. Then she told me where she use to live. OMG, this is the Andrea my mom has known for years that was a semi truck driver. I knew she quit driving and went into the medical field but what a small world. We had a blast talking and now going to their club is even better. Such a small world! No wonder she is always wanting to put the older people in a wheel chair and "drive" them.

So it looks like I have some riding to look forward to!

That's a great story Jolie you will enjoy riding with others . Sounds like you will have a great summer riding with new friends.
Rise safe

That is soooooo Kool!!!

Riding with others that share your interests is much preferred. Riding alone is better then setting in front of the TV but I do enjoy having others along. :xszpv::xszpv:

It's all about sharing the ride and the friendships, along the way, that make the journey a great experience.

Ride safe and enjoy the journey!!

hello Jolie

I think you will fine that there are a bunch of riders out there that are, friendly, helpful & fun to ride with. it is grate you have found some one to ride with. trikes or 2 wheels makes no difference ( but when you make a trike talk gathering you will find out just how much fun it is to be with a lot of trikes )

Go Girl, riding with others is such a hoot! Just remember, do not ride above your abilities! If they go way too fast, back off, and go at your pace.
Even, I've had that happen to me. We were riding and the two wheelers decided to "go for it" at about 80+ in a 55, two lane road, no thanks, I just stayed back and let them get it out of their system! I asked one of the guys, what was that all about, well he said, you guys travel so slow for us! OK! To be young again! LOL
Enjoy Jollie!

PS.
Big Dog, are you going to become a caregiver when you and Miles give up the Road? šŸ˜‚ LOL

Sounds like a great opportunity for some new friends and possible riding companions Jolie, best of luck.

That's as good as one of my experiences. I used to visit my grandparents every summer growing up and while there I'd walk about 8 miles to visit a cousin and fish and stuff. Well I got a job right out of high school operating a press and each press operator just became a friend. So the next operator over told me one day a friend of his was coming to visit at lunch and invited me to join. Guess who? My long lost cousin. We became real friends after that. This world is very small.:D

I'm looking forward to my first ride with them. Of course being new and a trike I'll take the back. But, you all would be proud of me and the 2000 miles I've done since May. Today I did 120 just to go eat pancakes with strawberries, blueberries, bananas and of course sugar free syrup. LOL I hop on the interstate with no worries and was doing about 72. Not getting cocky but I do have confidence now. I still watch for everything and I stay away from the semi trucks as much as I can. I'm really proud of myself and how I handle the trike. :)

Sounds like you are really beginning to enjoy the trike Jolie!! That's GREAT. Also sounds like you are riding smart. You'll be a veteran in no time at this rate. :xszpv::xszpv:

We are also very proud of you Jollie. You are correct by not getting complacent with your riding, be alert at all times!
Good Luck on you new adventure with "Friends".
