thinking about selling my bike

Hi all of you folks .I am thinking about selling my trike and was wandering if you all think it would sell better on Craig's list or maybe just put it in the news paper. I was thinking Craig's list might get better coverage .I keep thinking I need to sell it because I am only ridding it once in a while and I think a bike should be ridden and not setting . Although I do start it and run it at least once a week long enough for it to get hot so it keeps everything lubed and the moisture out and I take it out for about a 20 mile ride at least once a month. Since being sick I just don't have the spark I used too. And then I think well in time I might get the urge to ride again so I will keep it. I just worry about it not getting used and I don't want to go to ruin because I am not ridding it enough. What do you think. All opinions are welcome.

Howdy Charlie. Sounds like you are doing what you can to ensure the trike is kept in good running condition. It's a real hard choice when it comes time to give up riding. Don't know if I could make that decision just yet. If you don't need the money selling the trike would bring and you really think there is a chance you will want to ride more then I'd give it a while and see what happens. Getting back into trike ownership would be a lot more expensive then holding on to what you have for another summer...

As for where to advertise I think you are correct. Craig's List and American Classified (Thrifty Nickel) have wider coverage so you will get the better coverage. If you use American Classified see if they are still offering the run until it sells deal. Several months ago I sold my Class C motor home that way and it worked out well..

I wish you luck with your choice and hope you will succeed on that journey. :xszpv: :xszpv:

If you need the money then sell it. If not and there is a chance you may ride again keep it and keep up the maintenance.

Agree with Gorilla and kybigmac. You may want to wait until you're totally sure that don't want to ride again. That urge may very well come back sooner than you think. If you don't need the money hold off a good while and keep up with the maintenance. Hope everything works out for you what ever you decide.

thinking about selling

Thanks all of you that responded to my thread about selling All gave me good advise I don't need the money so I guess I can still keep up the maintenance on the bike . That is my main concern I just don't want a good bike like this one to go bad from not ridding it enough, I will keep up on the fluids as far as changing them when needed and I can keep it clean and keep air in the tires change the air filter when needed It is too good of a mc to let go to pot. and I may come out of this slump in the future Dang I hope so thanks guys your all right I need to wait Thanks and ride safe and have fun ol luckychucky might see you on the road.:Trike1:
