Depending on your installer you may be 100% correct. Some take pains to make the hidden stuff look and work good while other installers just cram it in any way they can. I found all sorts of wires hanging in the working parts of my conversion. Wasn't happy about that one bit. Fortunately nothing shorted out or got cut up. I'm still on sure how I was so lucky there...

Sometime a well constructed splice it the better way to go even when you can still find the connectors. Good luck with the lights. :xszpv::xszpv:

Well assumptions were correct, wiring is botched, I pull the all trunk off, add 6 inches of wire to each tail light, I guess 5 bucks of wire would kill motortrike bottom line, what a craper of job, molding lights running as run stop, I was going to wire the sides to act like turn signals then I change my mind. Also got the sumo hard wired to aux and add the weather proof mount, so now voice navigation and MP3 going thru the zumo :pepper: need to finish the trailer and I'm ready for Florida trip :clapping:

I thought it was just my tail light that had short wires!! It sure makes replacing bulbs a joy.... :xszpv::xszpv:

Sounds like you are getting things in hand though. Enjoy Florida..

I added a Signal Dynamics Back Off to my trunks light.

It was simple and the module fits right in the trunks light cover with no problems at all.
Maybe that would cure your issues??
My MT kit is a little different then yours as I have the Adventurer.
It was done at the MT factory in Texas as my bike was originally from Austin. The wiring is a tad short but was done neat as a pin. DSC01044.JPG

Well being in the road as a truck driver I see many morrons that won't see your modulator, they will see you screwing on your brakes and get pissed, no to long ago one old lady cut off in front of my friend fb6 with head light modulator she say he sign her to go!!!!!! In my 700k + miles on the road I think light modulators are just for parking lot parades. ;)
my 2 wheeled goldwing come with the modulator first thing I rip off the bike :D

I find it to be just the opposite here in Florida.
With my headlights on high beam they get out of my way. A lot pull over to let me pass with the modulator on.
I find anything to make me more visible or to annoy them is a benefit.
Not a negative for me.
