should be ready for p/u next Saturday. Never triked before, wife has always wanted one, now I guess we have the best compromise available. Health reasons prompted my decision, confidence of my co-pilot as well as all our children so I can continue to take the grand kids for rides. This was a difficult choice to make between all the great looking conversion possibilities out there and one never knows if they have made the correct one. I really like the 10" longer wheelbase and the vintage or retro look caught my eye. If anyone has pics of their Utra w/ Roadsmith V Body conversion, let me know. Thanks!

I just completed converting my '06 Ultra with a Roadsmith HDT kit. Like you, I liked the longer wheel base. For a view from the back seat, check Lil Pest's thread on the General Forum called "Triker Co-pilot Report". My feelinga about the conversion pretty much mirror hers + I have that little thing in the back of my head going "I built this!". Her report is more from the emotional stand point while my posts tend to get technical. My '06 already had a Stage II engine with the bigger 95" jugs & cams, & it handles the increased load nicely. I used the Tri Glide triple tree as suggested by Ultraboy in the tech articles here to get the rake right. What a difference that made! Instead of the electric reverse, I used a Momba Reverse by AIM that is an "add on" to the bike transmission. I just like gears & being able to control the speed in reverse. For pix, check Lil Pest's album on here. When you read her report, click on her name, then click "public profile", click "statistics", then click "albums" The trike is still awaiting paint, but it doesn't look like the wait will be much longer. Welcome aboard huskerrider. If you like the looks and you give good reasons for your dicision then you can not go wrong. You will love being a triker.

Nice! Like the red! Mine goes to paint tomorrow & will be black where your lighter shade of red is. Hope you like your Ultra/Roadsmith as much as we do ours!
