2014 Can Am RT Limited.. Does Anyone have one and your thoughts on this trike?<br />
I test drove one and like it but the brake pedal was to high for my liking..<br />
<br />
HAs anyone else adjusted there brake pedal heights?

Turns out sitting a bit farther forward on the stock seat maybe the issue..
Went with the comfort seat and is 2 inches farther back seems to have helped with the cramping of my right leg when using the brake pedal..
Been getting easier to use the more I drive the new Bike..:D

Yes Sir and very Happy I went ahead and Traded the Tri glide for the Can Am..:D

We took a nice ride today and I can say I don't feel all beat up riding it like I did the Tri Glide..:clapping:

Congratulations ~ we'll be looking forward to your pictures (natch') and experiences with your new toy. I'm especially interested on your impressions on the 1.3 liter ACE engine and SE6 transmission.

Keep you posted as I am trying to get use to the fancy new buttons on the bike..Gas mileage is very good too..:D

So far I like the low end torque and the semi automatic trans is so much nicer than using a clutch..The paddle shift is really impressive once you get the hang of it after a few rides. Nice not having to use hand brakes or a clutch.. It does have a lot of get up and go when shifting thru the gears..The suspension cushions the rodes very nice too..<br />
<br />
I find that there is a lot less wind blowing on me and the passenger..But did go with the optional vented windshield and adjustable side shields if I do want a bit more wind blowing on me..

We got our 2014 Cognac RT Limited on Aug. 30 and now have over 500 miles on her already. I'm switching over from a GL1800 trike and it is definitely different. I'm really liking the SE6 transmission. I also have the same issue with the brake pedal position and have not found a solution yet. I think some kind of extender pedal would do the trick, but haven't found one. However, I'm getting used to it as I ride more. The first add-on we got was armrests for my wife; we went with the Corbin rests. They are very well-made, but it takes a little time to install them. I'm waiting for my Utopia rider backrest to arrive this week, along with a set of ISO grips with a Throttle Boss.

The customizing is half the fun of a new bike.<br />

</div>One of the things I found was to get the Heated comfort seat/Backrest which moves you back 2 inches and seemed to help with the brake pedal position. But the more I ride the bike (Over 400 miles now) it is starting to become non noticeable as when I first rode the bike. Now keep in mind this is from someone who just traded in his Harley Triglide. But I will say the Can Am is like a Cadillac to me..<img src="images/smilies/grin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="big grin" class="inlineimg" />..I am not all beat up like I was after riding the Harley..<br />
<br />
Something else I tested out the heated seats and grips. Wow I say..Never had heated grips never thought they would work but they do.<br />
And my Gal says she can turn her seat/grips on from where she sits..<br />
<br />
What I did learn is that she likes to change the radio channels on me from her area..Drives me nuts as I thought my radio channels were going haywire only to learn she was changing the channels..<img src="images/smilies/laugh.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Laugh" class="inlineimg" /><br />
<br />
So far the more I ride the more I am glad I went with the Can Am..

I wear out my Road Smith, if that happens, I'm gonna take a look at the Spyder RT.

</div>Yep ~ I've already done that (Saturday 9/20) on a 2014 RT. Specifically, I wanted to try a Spyder with the <b>1.3 liter ACE engine and SE6 transmission</b>.<br />
<br />
Yes, its remarkable how *smooth* the ride was, the power-assisted steering was JUST right (didn't over-power the handlebar inputs), and there was adequate power (I was the only person on-board, so performance was exceptional)<br />
<br />
My demo ride was 15 minutes in length, over local roads, some of which were rough-as-h*ll but the RT took it all in stride. It <u>was</u> impressive.<br />
<br />
But I don't want a 2014 RT. If I don't buy a 2015 Freewheeler, I want to hold out for a 2015 F3.<br />
<br />
Once the F3 is introduced to the dealers (this week) and the pricing is set, then I'll have a few more parts of the puzzle.<br />
<br />
When I demo-ride the F3 (mid-November in Philadelphia market) then I'll decide.<br />
<br />
I also monitor 'canamspyderforums.com' and 'spyderlovers.com' to keep up with the latest info.

</div>Yes I have a plan. Once I write a check (for whatever I eventually buy) there are no do-overs <img src="images/smilies/AGGGH.gif" border="0" alt="" title="AGGHH" class="inlineimg" /><br />
<br />
I'm going to a local Harley dealer this Saturday, for another FLRT demo ride, with some questions I didn't get answered back on 9/19. Then, as I said before, I have to ride an F3 in a few months.<br />
<br />
I don't know if you've read the HOG Magazine (Volume 27) about the article "2015 Freewheeler Turns Up The Heat". Ironically, the first sentence was: "<i>Enjoy it first for what it is, free of preconceptions</i>" The writer <i>intended</i> to mean that it's a cool motorcycle ~ you shouldn't p<i>rejudice it just because it's a trike.</i><br />
<br />
But Harley Davidson has been trading on prejudice for decades. They still produce conventional two cylinder, 4-cycle air-cooled engines, propelled with rear-driven-wheel(s). And they're DARN GOOD at it.<br />
<br />
BRP started with a fresh sheet of paper, and designed a trike that's better riding and easier to steer. The styling may unconventional, but BRP didn't start making motorcycles back in 1903. If they had, we might all be driving Spyder (and Morgan 3 Wheeler) "conventional" trikes, and the <i>Freewheeler</i> would be a "reverse" trike <img src="images/smilies/wink.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Wink" class="inlineimg" />

</div>Well I have done both bikes now..Other was the Tri glide. and with all the BS and same ongoing parts issues and wrenching I was done with the Harley for now..I do have my first Harley still I converted to a trike but need to get it running again..<br />
<br />
Like I said you have a plan and stick with it..It is a lot of money to invest and you need to be happy with the purchase..<br />
<br />
That F3 looks sharp..But in my case I wanted all the bells and whistles..<br />
