We just relocated to the Houston Texas area and I'm looking to meet some of my neighbors. If anyone is up for showing me around the area I'm sure game. I'd especially like to explore the Lake Conroe area as I love to fish and also maybe the Lake Livingston area too, or even the coastal fishing options. Also enjoy any and all bike events, classic and muscle car shows, gun shows, etc. If any of you have similar interests, drop me a line via PM and lets have a meetup.

Should have moved to Michigan! We have WORLD CLASS fishing, plenty of motorcycles, car shows (please see: Woodward Dream Cruise) and guns - hell we have more guns here than you'd ever need!!!!

Too much snow and ice in Michigan for me Larry....oh and Texans carry their AR-15s into Walmart. Can you do that in Michigan? :D

PM me. I live in the northwest part of Houston. Lived close to Lake Conroe for 30 years. Know the whole Houston and surrounding area quite well.

I enjoy driving through and around Houston. The traffic in Houston is pleasant and makes going from the Beaumont to San Antonio a snap. They make sure that construction never affects traffic flow and the toll roads add to the ambiance. Geesh Bazooka... Houston? Really? Home of the... errrrr what's their names? Should have moved to San Antonio area. NO competition as far as trikes go... better city. Better traffic flow. Home of the Spurs! Treat yourself to a GOOD ride some time and we can go out and see the Texas Hill Country...

Hey wiredgeorge! I live in Houston. Yeah, traffic is heavy and yeah it is way to crowded and yeah, yeah, yeah!

I tell you one good thing about Houston, it sure is a pretty sight in my rear view mirror when I'm leaving town!

I would love to help you discover the Houston area. Unfortunately, I was lucky enough to escape after 30 years and moved to the Arkansas twisties. ;)

Ride safe! Some seriously impaired drivers in Houston who don't care whether you live or die. Just sayin.....

I'm still in the "greater Houston" area, but actually a good bit north of Houston in the Burbs and don't get into downtown Houston much. We did go down town to the museum district to visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science a couple of weekends ago and loved it! The dinosaur display is truly amazing as was the Egyptian display! Also my wife had to drag me through the Galleria Mall, which though impressive as malls go, I didn't love.

Overall, I am enjoying the southeast Texas area, the people are very friendly, the food is great and there is a lot to do, plus there are lots of Trike Talk buddies in the area I intend to get to know.

We spent this weekend helping Marge's sister and brother in-law move our niece to Austin for college and ventured into west Austin and Roundrock to get a taste of the edge of the hill country which was also amazing. Mountains in Texas? Wow! Can't wait for the Kerrville gathering!

A bud of mine from W.Va. was laughing at Texas for being sterotypically flat and looking like a prairie/desert! He bragged about the mountains of W.Va. Where I live in the Hill Country has hills and canyons and elevation changes but he saw Ft. Davis and began to become a believer. Texas has diversity... just takes a bit to get there and see it! The ride route the Kerrville gaggle will be taking is RR 337 to RR 335 to RR 336 and not sure how we will get back to Kerrville... likely take 41 east. RR 337 rivals that famous Tail of the Dragon road in the East Coast. Great scenery along the river on RR 335... probably the prettiest in Texas and if you enjoy cattle guards, RR 336 is your cup of tea! about 20 of them... get your fillings tightened if you are a fast rider hehe

If any of ya'll from the Houston area or anywhere else wants to come down and visit the Hill County, 3 wheels or 2, give me a shout and I will be happy to give you the tour except when it is REAL hot and then tours have to end with lunch bwhahaha. Besides the trike, I generally ride a Triumph America.

Only been to Kerrville a few times however am looking forward to being there in Nov. at the meet & greet If my little bride's health allows. Hope to see ya'll there, and you to zook. Welcome to the great state of Texas. :pepper:
