Boy, seems allot of posts lately have been about all the “bad”things about riding a Harley. Sorry so many are unhappy. If you are, please start your own separate thread. <o:p</o

I for one feel very good, yes, even happy. Weather is allot better than even a month ago. My Harleys are doing what they do, start them and ride to ones content. If all goes as planned, we will be on them more than was possible these last three seasons.

Hope others are also enjoying their Harleys. If you do not reply, you probably are and do not have time to read this.

Here’s to a great summer of riding, be safe.<o:p

I'm with you Dennis.

I love my big red turd. If it strands me 500 miles from home, I'll push, pull, drag, whatever it takes to get it to the nearest repair shop. Then I'll hop right back on and do it all over again. No, it hasn't happened yet. All my Harley's have always got me back home.

Nothing against people who ride other brands, (I ride with a Honda and a Yamaha) but you'll never catch me on a Yamasuki.

Can't wait til July so I can go for my first 120 mile coffee.

I have to agree wholeheartedly with this thread. I love my 2007 Harley Ultra which will be transformed into a Hannigan trike by Saturday (May 10[SUP]th[/SUP]). I have previously owned 4 new Goldwings, the first one in 1979. Not a thing wrong with any of them, but after I rented a Harley in Hawaii, I knew they were a different machine than I’d rejected for so many years. I had to eat my words of “never”, and get one (then another, then another). When I’m driving my car and a Harley comes up beside me, I just have to crack my window a little to get my “fix”; my wife just rolls her eyes! Much of my casual attire is Harley but I’ve never owned Honda shirt.

My Ultra has had a major engine rebuild to a 103 with all of the usual cams, exhaust, heads, and dyno tuning, but what a fun bike to ride! It has 103hp and 107tq and runs and sounds like a Harley should. It took me a while to decide to trike it and figure out which kit to go with, but I’m looking forward to this type of riding with my wife. She wasn’t ever too comfortable on the bike because of her back surgery so with an IRS trike, an Ultimate seat, and an Airhawk-R. I’m hoping for the best. Back to bikes though, with the look and functionality of the new 2014 Limited, those keep calling my name too; I can’t say that about the Goldwing even though they are excellent bikes.

You’ll find this interesting, I’ve been talking to my wife about riding by herself for several years and she never had much interest. A couple of years ago a neighbor was selling his scooter, and she sat on it, and then rode it by herself around the block – first solo ride ever at age 48. A local dealership I frequent had a new 2012 Vespa 150LX on the floor for an incredible price, so last weekend she rode that one and now it’s in the garage. She loves it and can’t wait to get home from work so she can ride it. Now I’ve got to get a trailer big enough for both for when we hit the retirement circuit. Motorized vehicles; I love them all but now if I can have only one cycle – it’s a Harley.

I wonder if they make Vespa shirts?

Could not be happier here :) Ride on and have a great year.
Oh just for the record Harley never ran so good! Have new toy's placed on over the winter (More Chrome). Enjoying the nicer weather.

I always had Hondas, Kawasaki's, And a few Suzuki's... Then I wanted to try a trike.
But it had to be a factory built not an convergent...So at the time the only choice was a Can-Am, I suffered with that for 3 years.. I got to know every nut and bolt on that machine I was under it so much... Over the years I would look at Harley's but never could understand the hype about them... Then when the main shaft went on the Can-Am...Took the Can-Am out of the shop [over2 grand$] Went by a Harley dealer and he had a few Tri-glide in his showroom.. So I decided to take one out for a test ride, I went 5 miles and a light bulb went on in my head now I understood.. turned around and went right back and traded in the Can-Am for a new Tri...25 thousand + miles on the Tri and I haven't looked back.....

Well Dennis I now have a little over 100mi. on my rebuild and seems to be running great. We are going on the Miricale ride in Indy in a few weeks so I need to get this thing broke in. Are you going to the rally this year? As much trouble I've had with my trike I'd still buy another Harley. The first time I test road my 88 softail custom I new I had to have one. You don't get that feeling on any other bike. Back then they really vibrated. Now all the yuppies want something smooth. Then go by a different brand bike.

Love my TriGlide.

just returned from a 2800 mile trip. the tri glide performed perfectly. She runs just like I like her to. My mods have made her perfect for me.

Brother Dennis, life is good! It even "gooder" on a Triglide. Spent Saturday and Sunday doing an Iron Butt Saddle Sore 1000 and a Bun Burner 1500 through California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and back to California!

The inter-mountain west is stunning this time of year. Nothing over 80 degrees until we dropped back into the Mojave desert and that was still under 90 deg. Big Blue ran GREAT!!!!!

Like a lot of folks here, I have dumped a ton of $$$ into my TG to make it the way I want it, and I have zero regrets. My BOB {Babe on Back} and I love our Trike and have a blast ridin' around with our friends and taking long trips up and down the left coast. If I wear this one out, I will happily buy another TG and start all over again! Would never even think of getting any other ride but a TG. 3 years, 34K, countless $$$, great adventures, big smiles and memories. Never left us stranded either. Dennis,,!!! I am with you Brother!!

A big +1 on everything you said...(except the left coast part, that is a bit of stretch from where we live.) :D

Finally getting nice here in Northern Ohio rode about 150 mi. yesterday. As far as harley go everthing needs a little fine tuning. I thought I married the perfect woman and that didn't happen just needed to fine tune.

The Harley just took a few bucks, TTS and WIZ for a good tune. Marilyn found it took more to tune me. I for one found early on that her way was easier than me trying to "tune" her.
That is the story I will go with these days!!

Well, I'm a much happier Harley rider today than yesterday. Saw my doctor today and she said I could start riding as soon as I felt like I could handle it. I think another week or two, rather than July. I'm a happy camper now.:):):):):)

Double ++ Dennis.......spent many $ on our Harley's and we truly enjoy them......NO regrets
(have had other brands also) and have no qualms with any of them OR their riders.
To each their own and may ALL RIDE SAFE.
;);)

Me too Dennis, Over the past 12 years I've had a V rod, Fat Boy, Street Bob, Crossbones and now my 2014 Tri Glide, which I bought for my 70th birthday,

They are all Great machines , It makes me very happy when i can just go out and ride, I some times don't have a destination until I get to the bottom of my road,

I consider myself very fortunate to be riding my TG, I wasn't expecting 3 wheel riding to be this enjoyable , What a great life, long may it continue,

BSA Single Thumper, Norton 850, Sportster Iron Head, 1200 Sportster, Super Glide, V-Rod, Fat Boy, Road King, Ultra, Tri-Glide. Only one left me stranded and that was my fault for all of the engine work I had done! Other than that - it's ride, ride, and ride. Getting lost is half the fun - the other half is finding your way back! No maps, no GPS, just highway! Tri-Glide has been the absolute most fun ever!!!! Life's too damn short to worry about small crap - Ride and Have Fun that's what it's all about!:Dorag:
