Don't know what to say about the forum over there, but it's getting most difficult to with the 'internal server' errors, and the list goes on. I might be banned forever for this post, but life is still good. TrikeTalk is still here. If this post is inappropriate I'm sure Zook will do the right thing...Seems I need to get that off my chest, there, I feel better.

I have to agree with you. It seems to start at the weekends and continues on to the week. And has been happening a lot since the new owners have taken over. If I was a sponsor over there I would be not too happy with the forum owners.The other sad part is with the new owners have banned a lot of the so called troublemakers or people who've questioned their calls to the point that if you look at the members online its down from what it used to be. And a lot of the familiar faces are no longer there.

What a shame,,,. From what I've found, it has been the best and most active forum regarding the GoldWing. (This is still the best site for Trikes!! ThumbUp) Hope they get the bugs sorted out and put more emphasis on support.

I visit the site several times a day and have not had any problems. I do not post much however. Just lucky I guess.

I think the banning of a few was way overdue. Lots of childish bullying and stalking was going on. In my opinion, there are still a few walking on thin ice.

I got on today but yesterday was a different story.
It seems to happen every other weekend on Sunday and then by tuesday, it's ok again.

Hmmmm.....decisions, decisions...bikerbill, ban you for life or not?? LOL..now why in the world would I do that for this post??? You think I am that tough on members? Granted, I don't put up with the crap they do over there, but I think that's one reason we have a very good and steadily growing membership.

The gl1800 site was recently bought out by Verticlescope, the largest forum operators in the business and despite their considerable resources, they are having some of the same transition issues we did when we updated our servers, software and add-on modifications a while back. Much of this is due to the fact that there is a great deal of time and customization that goes into building a forum like these. Like we have, they will eventually get the bugs worked out.

OK, I misunderstood what you were saying. I'm sure you wont be banned there, they know they have problems, part are technical and will be worked out, but part is just not managing their membership and that may never change. Its been an ongoing problem there for as long as I have known the site. Lamont owned and tried to manage a half a dozen sites and the new owners own hundreds of sites and that scenario doesn't always make for a well managed forum IMHO.

Very true... Problem with that site is the mods have the option to warn their friends first but all others are just banned, kind of a double standard there. But I have noticed the mouthy ones have shut up due to warnings.... at least for a while.

Visited the GL1800 quite a lot before finding Trike Talk. but haven't bothered to go back. Whole lot of not nice people over there. Make a comment and you'd get piled on by a lot of back biters, snipes, and generally very rude people. Who needs that?
