I surmise that I should word my post carefully, so here goes.
All of the ruckus about what Phil Robertson (Of Duck Dynasty fame) has said in his interview with QG Magazine is completely unfounded. Mr. Robertson said what he felt from his heart and owes no one an apology for his comments. He is entitled to speak what he believes and the A&E network should not do anything to Mr. Robertson.

I for one happens to agree with most all of what he said in his interview. Above and beyond that, it is very clear that the network is only interested in ratings and revenue from advertising. I've never been accused of being politically correct, very far from it. Mr. Robertson never said he hated or meant ill will towards anyone of any persuasion. He simply stated that he did not agree with that type of lifestyle. So at risk of having myself banned from this site, Ive posted my feelings on this matter with the most politically correct words I can muster.

IMHO we should all ban A&E from our tv's until such a time that the network comes to it's senses and brings Mr. Robertson back and makes him whole again financially. I choose not to get into an argument with the good folks on this site. So I won't be responding to any comments or questions regarding my views or feelings.

I've only occasionally watched the show, but haven't seen the News, in regards to this. I'm assuming something was said that may have been "politically incorrect", and one of the show's stars are being sanctioned for that. I just wonder why it is that these minority groups always are allowed to spout their feelings and beliefs, but someone with an opposing sentiment is censored. Yep, things in our world seem awfully askew to me as well. Human rights are one thing, but free speech should be for everybody... not just a minority.

Freedom of speech is quickly going the way of privacy and gun issues in our society and in many ways we contribute to that loss.

Interview by GQ was absolutely an ambush. Mr. Robertson's views are widely known. GQ's sympathies and agenda are equally as transparent. Have been for over 25 years.
Phil knew this. He turned the tables and used them transforming their ambush into his own weapon of disseminating Belief, Faith, and message of Right. What started as a lamb to the slaughter has become a soldier of the Lion taking the fight to the Enemy. He ain't no Dummy. I don't lament for him or the Creed he and most of Us proudly wear and live.
I applaud and celebrate his Victory in the face of the Enemy in their own House.
