Parking brake release

I'm really not having the same problem because I don't use my park brake. But If I were having that particular problem here is what I would do. First don't set it too hard or tight. You have to have some pull up room in order to relieve the pressure on the teeth that engage the part brake lock (that part of the park brake that holds it in the up or locked position). So pull it just enough to hold it in position but no so much that you have no more room to pull up a bit to release it, say 1/4" or so.
Secondly I would make sure the cable is good and lubricated, WD-40 or whatever.

Thanks, but ours an SE, so we don't have a manual brake. It is set with a switch and the bike won't stop screaming at you until you set the brake when shutting down.

Having a problem getting the parking brake to release on a 2011. Anyone else experienced this?

My 08 did that' So I just got tired of crawling under it to adjust, So I always parked in first gear, You have the semi auto trans, So you have to use the brake or one day the Spyder will roll away.....
Wish I could be of more help......
