I just got my '97 Goldwing from the dealer yesterday, it's my first trike.(Roadsmith, independent suspension) I took my wife for a ride and we ended up doing a lot of "twisties". Obviously, I'm no expert on them yet and ended up riding at a lower gear and higher RPM that normal in order to try and increase my control in the corners. My wife complained that her arms were "tingling" as she was constantly hanging onto the passenger grips. Does anyone else have this problem and would passenger armrests help? If so, can you recomend a good brand and suplier?

Arm rests would probably help. Or she could hold on to you.
You could recommend she use Duct tape or bungy cords to stay on (warning, wear helmet when suggesting. This will avoid serious injury from frying pan or rolling pin).
I actually tend to take corners and curves a little easier when wife with me. I usually yell out for her to hold on if it's going to get hairy.

My wife explained the difference between the bike and trike like this: She says that she could enjoy the scenery and even nap a little when we rode together on two wheels, but now that it's a trike, she has to pay attention to approaching curves, because the trike wants to throw you off, where the bike pushed you into the seat.

I had my local blacksmith make up a wrap (what I call a bum-catcher - UK terminology) for the pillion seat. This gave my pillion more confidence when I took them round corners. Hope this helps.

My wife also says a curve or corner tends to push her to the outside. If taken too quicly, she says it is a strong push. I put on some passenger ft pegs that are about 6 inches above the passenger board. She says this has helped a lot. She just uses her legs now to help with the push.

My wife still falls asleep on long rides... I thought for sure (at first) that I'd unload her in a corner, but after waking her up for the fourteenth time, I gave up.... she's still with me.ThumbUp

2 wheels or 3 wheels my wife takes a nap on long rides, only time she complained was when I first got my Triglide. We took a long weekend in the PA mountains by Wellsboro so I could wring it out and learn its handling better. At one point after hammering the hills and corners for about 20 miles I ask her how she was doing. The response was "I feel like I'm on a damn roller coaster", she was getting pitched side to side pretty hard since I was pushing the trike towards the edge of its abilities.

When hitting corners she watched to see them come up and then would hang into the grab handles to steady herself.

I, too, grab the handles when necessary, and fall asleep when I'm tired. Volume on headset turned down low, I sleep on and off for miles and miles. John asks if I got pictures, I always say "Sure!" LOL!

As she rides more the more comfortable she will get. When my gal first rode on the trike she thought for sure the rear end was "sliding around". Of course, it wasn't, but it just took getting used to. Now she loves riding the trike and doesn't even want to ride the 2 wheel Harley anymore. It is just the idea of getting use to it,,,,, and she will.
