Chat Room

Morning everyone! Glad I am not in NM, a tornado touched down near the town I was staying at last spring. Phew, I haven't heard of any damage for it was a brief touch down.
Sunny today, Blondie Gal, everything is growing and lawn needs to be cut. Cannas are getting taller with some up a foot. Tallest one I've had was 9' tall with a pretty red flower on top. Saw the hummer stop by the feeder and flowers to get a drink. I have to get my bird book out because we saw two different types of hummers and I want to know what they were.
Bikes are starting to roll for the Laconia bike week. Janice and I will take a trip up to see what is going on later this week. Nothing like it was in the 60s when we had the riots, No, I was there but didn't get involved, but saw a lot of action. One of my friends who was an officer on the Dover police force was taken to the hospital when a "biker" threw a full can of beer and hit him with it.
Have a great trip to Eurika Springs everybody.

We are going to test the Janice's back today as we are getting ready to go for a ride. May go to Laconia to see what's going on, but first we have to go and deliver some rhubarb out of our patch to a friend who makes the best rhubarb squares you ever had.
I read you had a great time, good for you and our fellow friends from our rally.
Gee, wait till we get to NETT rally, I want a ride on her Harley trike, I bet that was fun to sit and look and not have to worry about the "other" guy.
Hope everybody has a great trip home!

We went for a ride and lunch on the road. Janice's back is still tender after a short ride. She needs to pull her leg over the seat to get off, so, we didn't get to Laconia today. We made it about 1/2 way there and then came home. Much better than before, but not up to snuff yet!
It is great you got to meet with "old" friends at the Americade, maybe next year we will do a run there. Is it August YET?
See you soon.

Good evening everyone.Had a great day yesterday. We rode about 425 miles.Found a great road if ya'll ever get to south west Al.try hwy 41.Great ride and a real suprise for the flat lands.RIDE SAFE

Rosey send Janice down on a plane, swing by here and ride down to AR with us. We will pick her up at the airport!

Sounds like a plan to me, but Janice is not buying it, I don't get it, must be a woman thing!
Laconia is the next stop for us, then maybe do upper Maine for a visit to the Elks Lodge in Elsworth and Arcadia National Park.
We do have a backup plan in case we couldn't make AR. If we can get a few people, I would love to do the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia again, this time on a trike. That would be a week's ride up and down from NH.
Have a great ride to AR and be safe!

I tried. That Nova Scotia ride sounds like fun, let me know when you wanna plan it. I will talk to Sherry about it and maybe after October I will be retired so will have plenty of time. Gonna meet KW in Ohio on Saturday, OB and KW riding to AR what could possibly go wrong, go wrong, go wrong!!!!!

Keep in mind Nova Scotia is very close to having ferry service again from Portland, ME. It was in the papers when I was there last month.

That Nova Scotia run is something Mike and I want to do sometime soon. Have a wonderful time, Rosy!

Bill, you guys be careful in your travels, and have a wonderful trip!

Obandit whats with this retiring thing? You can't be old enough, keep on working.
Seriously enjoy your retirement, just watch out the honey do list gets longer.

Good Monday Morning TRIKE TALK/TOI Friends...ThumbUp.....gonna' go Google "retirement" since Bandit brought it up......no idea......

Mornin' friends :)
There is a steady rain falling and with the porch windows open, it sounds wonderful to listen to it -- so peaceful!

Good morning everyone! Hope your week goes well.
Well, the tally is in, we have 4 new kitten from our feral cat which makes her home under our lean-to and deck. They are like the old farmers barn cats, if you are old enough you remember going to see your grandparents and they tell you about the barn cats. They live in the barn, keep the mice out of the feed, but you can't get near them, and that's what we have, keep the mole, mice, and squirrel population down but you can't get near them. We had kitties for years when my son was growing up, but now, we love to be on the road so we can't have kitties, so feral kitties are the best, we can watch them from a distance but don't have to worry about them when we go on a trip.
Nova Scotia, we should make plans to go. It will take a couple of years to plan, but we can do it. Bikerbozo, Canada said no to the ferry again, they said they could afford the cost right now. Portland and Bar Harbor would love to have it again because all the money it brings in, but Canada said NO! Darn!
So, if we can set it up, what time frame would be good, and how many may think of going? Just for planning!
Be safe & have a great week.

Coach not real sure what retirement is about just yet, I may not be old enough, but I have enough time to retire and if the Fed's off me the buyout I'm gone! Guess they are working on the details now, a nice cash lump sum, on top of 35 years of service, sounds like a keeper to me, just a wait and see game now.

Also, August is coming quickly, so let me know what diner you want to meet at for lunch on Friday, August 23, we can then ride up to the TTNE Rally, remember if Leo meets us at the diner you will have to ride in the back, no front for you!!!! LOL

Checkin In.

Started off ok this morning. but then the bottom fell out. Going to be one of those heat of the afternoon pop up showers all day. 78 and really humid out now. Rest of the week will be in the low to mid 90's..:gah:

Y'all be safe.
