A legend dies

The Possum had no peer. He was fortunate to make it to 81 because of his past lifestyle. He greatly reduced his "bad habits" and generally seaking had the good wishes of the country music community. I saw him perform in four different decades. Randy, my heart is with you.
 
This is sure a big loss to the country music fans! He sang some great songs.

George was a good man and became a good friend. He called me every day for 4 months while his Stallion was on order. Nancy warned me when I gave him my cell number that my life would never be the same and she was right. George was the kind of guy that lived life to the fullest and had to be "up to" something every minute of the day lest he got bored, and according to Nancy thats what kept him in trouble as a younger man. He had a real passion for life and was a great story teller. He and Nancy were inseparable and always called me on speaker phone from their car, truck, bus or whatever. They loved to pick at one another and tell on each other. It was a real treat knowing George in such a personal way.
