Yamaha's , SR400 bare bones bike costs 6 grand it doesn't even come with an electric starter,, Soooo I will be shocked if it ever happens.. Anywhere near 6800$

I think everyone is missing the point, Elio isn't meant to replace a open air Trike, It's aimed at someone who needs cheap transportation, Kind of like a dumbed down Smart car...
If some miracle happens and they can sell them a at under 7k, And then convince the government that a helmet and a Motorcycle license isn't needed to drive one, Then once the nimrods start buying them in droves, Someone will write a book similar to Unsafe at any speed, Then all 3 wheelers will be under the gun... :xszpv:
