Why? Oh Why? Does virtually every vendor out there think anything they have for a TriGlide will by default fit a Freewheeler......

I have asked the Dakota Digital folks three time now if they plan to offer a direct gauge replacement for an FLRT.....

Every time I get an initial yes and a part number for a TriGlide setup. Then, when I reply back that the bikes are completely different I get...DAH!

You didn't specify which gauge you are looking for, but best bet is to start with a Freewheeler parts diagram and then tell the parts dummy the exact HD part number you want a replacement for.

Can't tell you how many times I've run across this problem looking for OEM replacement parts.

A quick look on the J&P Cycles site shows a lot of Dakota Digital gauges so maybe you should try calling the J&P help line. Good luck.

Actually, my email exchange was directly with the Dakota Digital staff.......

They finally told me they recommended I use their MCL-2011....but it is NOT a direct replacement for an FLRT and it would not have or show the reverse indicator or the reverse trip indicator....but they are OK with that.........BUT, I am not!

I am left to wonder, given their starting with the suggestion of the TriGlide gauge set and finally ending with the RoadKing gauge suggestion and all the time I was just asking for a direct replacement......for an 2015FLRT Freewheeler Trike....

As long as you finally got them on the same page that they were different than the TG, they at least tried to figure something out with you. Otherwise it could have been .....No....click.

I feel your pain. I'm at a lost regarding an analog speedometer / tachometer for my Freewheeler. I've gone through the same routine as you, with no success.

After looking / e-mailing all of the usual 3rd-party venders, I asked H-D Online Store Customer Service Team about this on April 10th. Their response was "As for one being available for the FLRT in the future, we have no info as of yet."

My trike is already 5 months old. When my warranty expires, I'm going to install A) a reverse-gear kit and B) a 74774-11B speedo/tach combination. The electrical reverse will go up on eBay.

Why am I waiting until the warranty expires, you ask? I'm a ex-GM Technician and Service Manager. I've got a lot of experience on claim denials ~ if it's even close to whatever component fails, it's suspect.
