Yet another shock upgrade thread

I also have the 17 Freewheeler and have actually just finished the upgrade mods (50+ very tasty additions)

Just suggesting that you don’t cheap out on the suspension. You spent a bunch of cheese on the trike and after an 18 month build I found that the suspension upgrades were the best investment of all …

I’d be very interested in seeing the list of additions you’ve made to your trike, for reference to see what I can do to my 2018 Freewheeler in UK. My list of additions will be very restricted by cost as most add ons will come from outside of the UK so once customs and handling fees are factored in many items are simply too expensive, but it’ll be nice to window shop at least!?!? Thanks in advance.

I must have misread the question … I thought that OP was asking if anyone had taken the air shocks off of their Freewheeler and replaced them with HD stock coil overs?

Replacing the entire Trike with a 6 year new one that came with coil overs? Does that address changing your air shocks or an entire different situation?

My question would be why was a set of brand new never used shocks removed from a brand new Trike?

Unscrewing the proverbial radiator cap and driving a new car under it is probably not the best comparison of air vs coils on your existing trike … just mho 🤔

He went from HD air shocks on one trike to HD coil overs on an identical trike. Pretty much exactly like swapping one shock for the other.

You have made you point. Aftermarket is better. DUH. That was not my question. Moreover, the very first sentence in my post was "without getting into a discussion about aftermarket shocks" Im perfectly capable of reading the dozens of threads on this an other forums regarding aftermarket shocks, and have done so. There was little to no information out there regarding my very specific question/scenerio, hence my post.

Again, you've made you point. Thank you for your input. Now let it go.

KC … I don’t mind that your reply here is not true and I don’t mind that your attitude is not only uncalled for but devoid of reality is a little insulting … also fine with me

He went from 1 trike to an identical trike? He went from a 15 to a 21 … far from identical.

I never said aftermarket was better in anything I wrote

Maybe you should glance through the thread and see what I actually wrote

Thanks for reminding me that the thread was not about aftermarket shocks although every reply (mine excluded) were all about aftermarket shocks 🫤
