Yee haw!

Stephen: How do you like the 6* tree? Bet it's sweet in the twisties, but what about on the Interstate at higher speeds? Does it tend to wander? Skuuter & I were discussing this in another post. Am very interested to know how she behaves, as I have a 02 GL with a 4.5* tree & a SuperBrace & still have a fair bit of wrestling in the twisties. Any real impact on the turning circle? Your comments would be appreciated. Maybe you could just p/m me. Thks a ton. Ghalib

So far the 6 degree tree seems fine but most of my riding was with the shocks set all the way down which made the trike handle bad. My last ride with the shocks set up on the second to last notch made for much better control. I'm thinking the 6 degree tree may drift on you if your not paying enough attention (ogling the girlie's at highway speeds may not be in your best interest :giggle:). I'll give another report after my next ride.

So I rode yesterday and today. Yesterday it was mostly the twisties. I slowed her down a little (5 mph) and things were much better control wise (that's with 26 psi in the tires)(may settle on 24 but not sure yet). Today I did everything. At highway speeds 70 to 80 the wind was buffeting me enough I thought mother nature was seriously trying to rearrange my face (life of a motorcyclist). Lane changes were purty easy, think lane change push/pull on the bars just a little bit and your there. Two lane 180 degree turn a rounds are a piece a cake. Running straight and true down the road high speed is no problem. I wish I could compare with the 4.5 and 5.5 rakes but all I've done is ride with standard rake and 6 degree rake so nothing I can say about those rakes. I'll take 6 degree rake over standard rake any day. I'd like to have made this a much more exciting write up but there were no snow drifts to buck and no blizzards to blindly find myself in and at the mercy of the snow Gods. Whoa-is-me just 70 degree weather. :giggle:
