We are very close to moving in to the trike world. We are considering a Trigg kit. That means we keep our back tire. The actual kits that require removing the back tire are a bit too expensive for us. Any thoughts on three wheels vs four? How does the Trigg ride? Appreciate any and all thoughts.

Welcome to Trike Talk, from S/W Ohio.
Sorry I can't answer your question, but I'm sure someone else on this site will, there maybe a forum on here for them?

Not an owner or rider of a Trigg but did have the big brother Voyager.
i rode mine for 3 years. Wife took 2 rides on it and would not do it again. Scared her.
it is a good price break
it does get u back up and riding a motorcycle
you won't tip over
you can ride a large heavy bike with passenger

cons:
it is not a trike
it is very heavy steering
leans in the wrong direction on corners
u can and will lift wheels
rear tire wear is bad
they are noisy and do break often(check all bolts and welds . . frequently.)
not sure of hook up but mine had low ground clearance
( Speed bumps were a problem)
you can get hung up.

I think the big elephant in the room is, if you go with the outrigger and it's not what you thought it was, that's dollars you could have invested in a 'better' trike. If I were you, I'd be riding the 'outrigger' before I made the jump.

Hi Rick and Becky, I have a Roadstar 1700, I triked it 2 years ago with the Champion kit, Best thing i ever did , We love it. From what i have seen and been told by others the outrigger type are just a waste of money. but that said, some people that have gone that rout like theirs. The best thing you could do is take both kinds for a test ride. so you can make up your own mind. Good luck and welcome....Don :Coffee: PS: when you do , make sure you get the Easy Steer. It's worth it..

I had a tow-pac outrigger and it was horrible. The front shook so bad I would have to stop to get it to stop shaking. I am taking it off and selling motorcycle by its self. Will sell my tow pac real cheap plus shipping. I bought a 2002 Goldwing with motor trike. Love it.

Welcome to Trike Talk from Missouri. Looks like you got the information you needed. My opion is if you want to feel safer, you need to look more at a trike if the funds are available:Trike1::Trike1:

Hello Ricky and Becka and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. I hope you have the information you need. Myself I have never rode a outrigger kit, but do own a trike conversion. I have seen others on outriggers and noticed the problems they were having so am thankful I chose a conversion.
